On Fridays, and often Wednesdays in Waukesha County Wisconsin it's customary for people to go out for a fish fry. This is done at local restaurants, bowling alleys, bars, and many other places. Traditionally, a fish fry consists of a few pieces of fish, some french fries or potato pancakes, some coleslaw, and a piece of bread ( Beer is often an added sideline that can be added very liberally as needed).
