Hello everybody! Been awhile since I've been on here writing a blog post! Want to know why? I landed a GREAT gig as the afternoon dj and Program Director for 97.5 COOL FM in Tri-Cities. I started last March and with the way things were going in real estate I decided this would be ALOT of fun to do and sell some real estate too! As they say if you want to make God laugh tell him your plan. I ended up selling 14 homes in 2009 and had a blast! It looks like 2010 is shaping up to be a busy year. Recently, I've been working with a buyer who has demonstrated very high personal ethics.  He says he will call and he does.  He says he'll have a decision by tomorrow and he does.  It blows me away!  I have the expectation of my fellow REALTORS to have this same ethic.  But, should I? When I was just getting started in the business world, someone whom I had a great deal of respect for told me to keep my expectations high and people would perform to that level.  I've discovered, of course, that this is not always the case, but it does keep my expectations of myself rather high.  You see, when you expect a certain level of professionalism and it is performed, you build trust.  Trust is one of the reasons we get referrals! With the onset of spring the Tri Cities WA real estate market has begun to see signs of heating up. But for those still on the sidelines, I thought it would be important to see just what the new $8000 First-time home buyer tax credit can do. Many people have asked emailed me at the Tri City Home Team or called and asked about the program. Quite a few wanted to know how they could use it for a down payment. Well, the answer is, you can't.
