Some deals are easier than others in the real estate market.  But all deals are made easier when you have great folks to work with.  I love to list homes. I especially love to put my marketing to work for my clients.  With a good on-line presence, and homes presented to look their very best, I and my clients are assured they are getting great exposure 24/7.  And it certainly helps when you have great clients who go to extra efforts to make their showing stand out above the rest.    And I love to represent buyers in their new home purchase as well.  In fact, because I am such a people person, it is probably a bit more enjoyable for me.  I really love connecting with people.  That is one reason I went into real estate.  It is hard to say what I enjoy the most, but I do certainly love hel...

We are extremely lucky in Pullman WA.  We have great schools that rank consistently in the top of the state, the parents are very involved and the children enjoy being in school immensely. Much of that I believe is due to the teachers, the administration and the School Board that we have in Pullman WA.  There is a lot of time given by these dedicated individuals wanting to contribute to the ovearall state of our education in our community. In looking for general information about our school district, I found the Key Functions of Pullman School Board.  They exemplify what the board is about and it gives a good understanding to parents and students alike to know what their responsibilities are. Attached are the Key Functions.  If you have children that attend any of the schools in the Pul...

With the start of School tomorrow for the Pullman School District, the hustle and bustle of our children and parents begin!  It's a wonderful time of year but a busy one!  Gone are the days of lounging at the lake, or taking strolls through our downtown area.  It's the time to get back on schedule! Not only are our kids on schedule, but we as parents are too!  We are the drivers, the task masters and the supporters for our households.  That is why it is extremely important to have an up to date Academic Calender at your disposal to review as the year passes. Attached find the link to the Pullman School District Academic Calender for your to keep in your files or post on your refrigerator door.  Enjoy your last day of Summer.  Tomorrow our days of schedules are upon us! http://www.psd267...

It's that time of year!  School is set to start tomorrow for the schools in Pullman, WA.  Jefferson Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Lincoln Middle School and Pullman High School will be starting bright and early on August 24, 2011. I love this time of year!  The kids are looking forward to getting back to their stomping ground, to see their friends and meet their teachers.  My daughter can't wait.  She has labeled the items that the teachers requested she bring in and she has the first day of school outfit in mind for tomorrow. If you're one of the families attending Sunnyside Elementary School in Pullman, I've attached the link to the supply list for your review.  Good luck kids in School!  And Parents, enjoy your kids first day of school! http://www.psd267.org/...

We at Beasley Realty are excited about Pullman Washington's Lentil Festival this year. Beasley Realty was the proud sponsor of the unveiling of the our poster and wine tasting earlier  this year.   Now the festival  is right around the corner on August 19-20 with lots of activities from our giant street fair on Friday night to the parade on Saturday.         One of  events that  I am especially looking forward to is our Friday night street fair and Pullman's giant pot of lentil chili where our downtown streets fill with our great community for a fun night.  This year my office, Beasley Realty, is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and we are selling bread sticks with the profits going to Habitat for Humanity.  It feels great to be a part of such a great community event and a way to h...

As a Realtor in Pullman Washington, I have clients who relocate to our great community in Pullman, and those who move away.  The past weekend has held both for me.   I had a wonderful seller who purchased a home through me decide that they wanted to start a new chapter in their lives.  So, as sorry as I was to see them go, I know they are one to wonderful new things in their lives.  I am happy to say I SOLD their home, but will miss them greatly.  Fortunately we still get to chat on Facebook and I look forward to seeing pictures of them and their precious little girls in their new home. I also have new clients relocating to Pullman and we are in the process of finding them the perfect home.  We spent the weekend together looking and I hope to find them the perfect house very soon.  In ...

Organized over 30 years ago by members of the Druffel clan, the Johnson Parade today draws up to 10,000 spectators, who line both sides of a one-mile stretch of country road to watch the informal, often inventive, and always patriotic parade of neighbors and well-wishers from across the Palouse.   Anyone can participate, from local businesses and professionals to political candidates to family groups...you name it. Even the littlest folks love to strut their stuff. A perennial favorite and a must-see for visitors to the Pullman, WA area on the 4th of July.  The Johnson Parade starts at 10 a.m.  Come early and bring a chair!

Today in Pullman, I'm going to walk through a home and do a video tour for some clients of mine who are relocating to our beautiful state of Washington. I have done this a couple times for my clients who are relocating to our lovely town in Pullman.     Often I find that somebody who is considering a move will only be here for just a few short days.  So much is going on during that time.   We typically see as many homes as possible, but a great deal of our time is needed just to orientate the client to our community, and all the wonderful things that Pullman has to offer. Also, as each Real Estate Market is unique, I find a lot of our time is spent educating my clients both to our market and our neighborhoods. Our town is divided into four Hills -  Pioneer Hill, Military Hill, Sunnysi...

Wednesday was a warm day here in Pullman Washington. It almost hit 85° I am hoping summer might of finally arrived in Pullman!I thought I would share with you a few warm weather tips for looking homes, whether in our lovely town of Pullman, or anywhere for that matter! 1.  It is a good idea to have a bottle of water.  Often we look at several homes throughout today.  It can be very tiring, not to mention hot as we jump in and out of the car after sitting in the sun.  So it does help to have water handy.2.  Shoes that you can slip on and off quite easily.  I myself prefer sandals in this warm weather, but anything that doesn’t require you to have to tie and untie your shoes will make your day easier.   3.   Dress in layers. It is quite warm right now, but as we head into the evening, i...

As a Realtor® in Pullman WA, I personally have chosen not to represent both a buyer and a seller on the same transaction which is known as dual agency.   It is a conversation I have with my clients when we first discuss the Law of Real Estate Agency at our first meeting, whether it for a buyer when we begin the house hunting process, or a seller at a listing presentation.  It is a decision I made when I first started in the Real Estate business, and one I continue to hold to.  Some agents I know feel differently, but it is one I strongly adhere to, and one my clients  appreciate.   And if I should happen to procur the buyer for one of my listings, I have a provisional plan set into place with my sellers and my buyers.  Because of the intense on line marketing that I use, it is not ...

With June fully underway in our Pullman Real Estate Market, I thought it might be a good time to remind my sellers the importance of making your home stand out above the rest. Of course, I personally advise my clients on things that they can do to not only get the home ready to market, but the things that they can do to make the first great impression.   But here is a short list of things you might want to do before your next showing whether you work with me, or any Realtor in our Pullman Real Estate Market.  I do work with lots of buyers here in Pullman, and I know there are a few things that we as Realtors appreciate, and things the buyer also appreciates as well. 1.  Please leave home as clean and tidy as you can.   When we walk in the front door, we really appreciate your efforts to...

Beginning this Friday, June 10th, the Pullman Police Department will be targeting those offenders that do not adhere to the law.  This law specifically makes the use of cell phones and text messaging while driving illegal.  This date marks one year that State Law (RCW 46.61.668) makes texting, reading a text or sending a text illegal while driving.  In addition, State Law (RCW 46.61.667) prohibits drivers to make a call or even place a mobile telephone device to the ear while driving a vehicle. The only way that drivers are able to use a mobile telephone device is if one uses it in a hands-free mode.  This method would include the use of a speaker phone, earpiece or a headset.   The use of a blue tooth is definitely the way to go to avoid a ticket.  The cost of a ticket is $124.00 as th...

There's only two full days left until school is out for my daughter.  She is yelling, yahoo and I'm saying yikes.  It's that time of year when she is excited about being out of school and mom is wondering what she's going to do all day long. Activities and camps are on the agenda.  She is excited to be participating in a number of those in our area.  But what about when she's home and just "hanging out".  I don't mind the occasional TV show or some time on her ITouch, but I don't want her reading to go to the wayside.  Is there a program that entices children to keep on reading through the summer? Well, in our local Pullman WA library there is!  Our library, the Neill Public Library, offers a Summer Reading Program for young kids through teens that instill the continued love of reading....

In association with National Realtor Open House I hosted two open houses in Pullman.  The weather was absolutely beautiful!  And lots of folks came out!  Some were looking for homes, some were neighbors who stopped in, others were clients of mine that came to see me.  Of course, I love seeing folks at opens.  And of course sellers love to have their home viewed as you never know who can pass along the good word for their home. I started out at 1920 Bella Vista.  It is a beautiful 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home with an absolutely gorgeous back yard!  And right of the bat one of the neighbors came over to see the changes my client had made to make it open. They were a lovely family and I enjoyed chatting with them.  In fact they had stopped by an open of mine last week at 300 Parr Drive.  Intere...

School is out on June 10th, 2011 for Pullman WA kids that attend Pullman Unified School District.  It's that time of year!  Kids are thrilled to be out of school and parents are worried about what their kids can do to keep themselves occupied during the Summer. If you're one of those parents wondering what options there are in Pullman WA for the Summer?  Look into the Cougar Kids Camp held at Washington State Univeristy!  The camp is held at the beautiful Rec Center located on the WSU campus.  It's close by and lots of fun for kids entering Grades 1 to 6.  The activities include many sport activities like rock climbing, swimming and fun sports.  These are all planned around weekly themes that encourage participation and lots of fun! http://cougarkids.wsu.edu/youth_camp.aspx Registration...

I was driving home on Sunday from Clarkston, WA to my home in Pullman, WA.  I had done my shopping at the Costco in Clarkston and was eager to get home.  As I left the store, I looked up and noticed that the skies were very dark.  I wasn't too alarmed as the weather has been quite unusual for our area these past few weeks. As I left, it began to rain.  Not very hard at first but as I pulled on the highway heading back to Pullman, the rain drops became larger and it was coming down quite hard.  I proceeded home and I could feel the wind swirling loudly.  It was a bit spooky.  I was the only one in my car, and I could feel the wind.  My car was now shaking a bit as I fought to control it. I called my husband on my bluetooth and asked him if he had heard anything about the strange weather ...

The WSU students have left and have cleaned out their apartments, homes or dorms.  What do you do with all the extra furniture and miscellaneous items you don't need? One great solution is to donate the items to local charities.  There are a number of places around the Pullman WA area that are collecting items that are in good shape.  These locations include:  The Playfields Parking Lot in Pullman, Zoe's Car Wash, Cougs Corner Mart, St James Episcopal Church and the Congregational Church parking lot. This great program is a charitable solution for students to get rid of the items they no longer need before heading back home and to be able to help people that are in need in our area.  In addition, it helps avoid the overfill at our landfill. Take the time!  And take advantage of your las...
