    Here is a picture which I took in the evening of the ocean near Seaside, Oregon.  There really is nothing like the ocean.  It so vast!!!!!  It makes you feel so small!!!  I just love hearing the waves.....       Sunnyside Park is the center of all the 4th of July Activity in Pullman Washington.  Pullman has a wonderful small town feel  and one of the events that our community really embraces is our 4th of July Celebration.       Families will gather for picnics in the park.  And friends both old and new will be celebrated in our community.  It is a great time enjoyed by all Pullman Residents as well as those from neighboring communities.     We have several locations where residents can park their car and take the bus straight to the park which even further adds to the great community feel of this event.   There is always lots to do, games to play, food to eat, and live music to listen to!   Fireworks, of course, are the star of the show and  start at dusk and are visible from various sp... 07/01/2010

It's that time of year again!  Fireworks, Food and Fun Times to be had in PULLMAN WA! I love this time of year!  The sense of Community, Family and Friends is evident during the whole day but especially during the Pullman's Fourth of July Celebration. This grand celebration is held at Sunnyside Park in Pullman with the festivities beginning at 5:00PM.  Some of the incredible activities include a yummy barbecue for all, super games for the kids...young and old, summer food favorites such as sno cones, ice cream and candy, and an incredible fireworks display that lights up the night sky of Pullman, WA.   It's the place to be on the Fourth of July and most of the town is in attendance.  The weather should be wonderful and it's a grand holiday to celebrate.  Come one, come all and join us i... 07/01/2010

Contact Lori Cofer   On Saturday I was invited to my new buyers house warming party.  It was pure delight to have their little toddler show me her new room!  She is cute as a button!  And I loved seeing them settled in, and the wonderful improvements they have already made with new paint, some wood floors and tile in the kitchen and entry way. They love their new home and it makes me so happy to see them settled into their new home.As I was chatting with some of their guests, the subject turned toward one of our local hardware stores, Henry's Ace Hardware Store here in Pullman Washington.  Her comment was how customer service orientated Henry's Ace is.  And it is true!  The staff there is always there... 06/28/2010

Contact Lori Cofer Today is a beautiful day today here in Pullman Washington!  The skies are blue!  And due to the unusual amount of rainfall we have experienced in June, everything is so vivid and green!  I absolutely adore that fresh green look of early spring, and although I have hated to see the rain, I am loving the results.  Today is expected to hit 82 degrees!   This post has been a long time coming. Contact Lori Cofer Yesterday was the last day of first session Summer School at Washington State University.   There still remains a second and a third session.  The first session of Summer School has been   unusually rainy and cold weather as the Pacific Northwest has been pelted with storm after storm. But at least yesterday and today the Sun is out and shinning bright.  Summer is unusual here in Pullman.  The majority of students go home during their Summer break.  It leaves a quiet hush in Pullman.  I found it ironic today as I looked out the window to see the clock tower at WSU down for repairs during the summer.  It is as if time stands still waiting for the students to once again return.    T... 06/19/2010

I just recently posted a picture called Window on the Palouse From an Old Homestead Root Cellar. I took a picture through the windows on the cellar and the hills of the Palouse was quite the view.     Several people inquired about the story behind it so it seemed like a good idea to write a blog about it. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder I am sure, but the Palouse with its rolling hills and fertile farmland is beautiful beyond words to me.  It provides a picturesque backdrop for any one with a camera.  Even an amateur like me. This is a crazy month for us!  THE WORLD CUP SOCCER TOURNAMENT IS HERE!  Now of course, my husband is English and a College Soccer Coach at that, so you can imagine the wild, crazy times that have invaded my quiet existence in Pullman,WA.  I hear the TV on at 4:30 in the morning...  I also hear the yelling, the sounds that now famous World CUP horn makes, and my husband adding his comments with every play that is made.  CRAZINESS!!  Here's the clincher though...I love it!  The idea that the WORLD is involved makes it that much more exciting.
