When you are selling your Port Angeles home, expect a lot of people to "intrude" on your privacy. If your home is being handled by a Port Angeles real estate agent, then most of the calls and inquires would be handled by them. If you are selling your home by yourself, then you've got a big job in your hands. As an independent Port Angeles home seller, you may be flooded by a long line of emails and unending phone calls from potential buyers. You've been there, asked around (no murders there), found the price reasonable, and yet ... they have not received an offer to sell. You look around, and you notice nothing. A house in Port Angeles, no matter how beautiful or how ideal it is, will not sell if it is not properly advertised. If you are selling your home through an real estate agent, the agency will handle most (if not all) of the advertising and marketing needed to sell your home. If you are doing everything by yourself, you have to make sure that no stone is left unturned. This doesn't mean that you have to spend an entire fortune on advertising alone; you just have to know which advertis...

Whether from market stimulus programs or buyer necessity, the Port Angeles market has picked up in housing units sold over the last two months. Overall sales are only down eleven percent as compared to last year. If you look at sales over the last six months, we are only off by five percent in the number sold. Dollar-wise, the market is off far more -- due in part to lower home prices in the middle range from repossessed properties and the pressure they exert on the market, as well as the inventory having a larger than normal number of entry-level priced homes. If you are looking for a modest home or a rental property, there are 26% more homes under $200,000 than we had last year. At the rate they are moving, homes in this range and those priced from $250,000 - $299,999 are almost in a ...
