There are a host of advantages to living in the countryside – besides the obvious pros of breathing in fresh air every day, living with breathtaking and scenic beauty all around and waking up to the sounds of birds chirping instead of horns blaring, you get to live in a large and comfortable house that would cost you the earth in a city, and your cost of living comes down drastically. While most people who decide to turn country folk are retired and wish to start afresh in a locality where the quality of life is better, there are others who buy country homes as a second residence, a place to vacation or as just an investment. Country real estate is different from urban real estate in that there are aspects in the latter that we cannot take for granted when buying a house in the countrys...

She is! Colleen is the epitome of competency. It's strange how things can turn out. I was the sales person for years and a few years ago Colleen and I switched. I'm now the marketing dude and she's the sales lady. Well, I thought it wouldn't work as Colleen has no desire to close a sale (go figure), but all the desire to service the customer. As a result, Colleen is inundated with folks looking for a service-minded competent sales person who isn't salesperson pushy! Colleen is #1 in our office for the last quarter, and stands a good chance of being #1 this quarter as well. Related: Greatest Real Estate Agent In The World

We've lived in the Tri City area of Southeast Washington for four years. We moved here to semi-retire. We cashed-in on properties we owned in Southern California and Mammoth Mountain California, and bought into our current market with the purchase of several multi-family properties. We expected to live off the rental income and didn't expect much by way of appreciation. We've been pleasantly surprised. All our multi-family properties have increased in value by an average of at least 25%, and the house we live in has nearly doubled in value. All this happening while the rest of the nation's real estate market is in dire straights. Hot Investor Market Like most markets, forecloses have hit us too. This has created a prime environment for the real estate investor of multi-family properties...

Situated close to the beautiful, scenic, and activity-filled convergence of the Columbia, Yakima, and Snake Rivers in southeastern Washington lies the growing and bustling community of Kennewick, the largest and most populated of Tri Cities area, also comprising Pasco and Richland. Kennewick’s history spans just over a century, with its official founding having occurred in 1904. Since then, the city has grown and developed considerably. The population of Kennewick, according to a 2004 census estimate, was pegged at slightly more than 60,000, although it has grown—not in leaps and bounds, but steadily—since then. Even at 60,000, Kennewick is nonetheless the largest city population-wise in all of Washington’s Benton County. One of the biggest drawing features of Kennewick—for visitors and...

Kennewick was officially incorporated on February 5, 1904. Previously, the town had been known by many names, the strangest was "Tehe" which was allegedly attributed to the reaction from a native girl's laughter when asked the name of the region. The name "Kennewick" is believed to be a native word meaning "grassy place." It has also been called "winter paradise," mostly because of the mild winters in the area.Kennewick Man is the name for the remains of a prehistoric man found on a bank of the Columbia River nearby, sometimes thought to have Caucasian features, despite being indigenous and living 9000 years ago. Ownership of the bones has been a matter of great controversy. Kennewick, Washington.  In Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Joe and Colleen Lane are Southeast Washington State R...

The Land of Kennewick Washington ~ A Beautiful Place to Live ~ There is an abundance of beauty that surrounds the land, as it is with the entire area of Tri City Wa. Kennewick is situated along the Hanford Reach, the last remaining free flowing stretch of the Columbia River. Because of its unspoiled landscape, the Hanford Reach is home to a spectacular and diverse population of wildlife and vegetation that are rarely seen in other places in such abundant numbers. Among the many features of the Columbia Basin of the Hanford Reach is the characteristic landscape of savanna like, dry plains we commonly refer to as the shrub steppes. The shrub steppes feature flat, parched lands that go on endlessly for miles, dotted only by shrubs and bushes.    The shrub steppe landscape of Kennewick, Tri...

Kennewick is one of the largest cities in the "Tri-Cities" of South east Washington . The city is recognized for being the Washington's most developed and progressive city. It falls in an important area of the Washington's wine producing region. With Columbia River touching its boundaries, Kennewick is a fantastic place to enjoy a peaceful and calm life. The Past As the history goes Kennewick was founded in 1883-1884 by worker employed by the rail road company.  This city would have been a dead city for want of water, however the Northern Pacific Railroad built an irrigation canal that revived the city. Kennewick was also the first home to the Chemnapum Indians meaning "Winter Haven," an proper label as the tribe got together  in the gentle weather to trade, fish and look after their ho...

The history of the Kennewick Wa area includes the fascinating ~Kennewick Man~, a skeleton that has been dated as being 9, 200. This cultural artefact was unearthed in Columbia Park, July 28, 1996, and has received large amounts of international attention. Of intense interest is that the fossil appears to have Caucasian features, despite being labelled an indigenous dweller thought to have lived over 9,000 years ago. The Kennewick find is still a matter of controversy as to who actually has ownership rights. Its discovery was an accident brought about by observers at the annual hydroplane race who spotted the skull whilst the races were on. The current Kennewick Man debate is in regards to the relationship of American Indian religious obligations and the science of archaeology. At presen...
