Gig Harbor Snow Storm January 2012 So we are on day 6 of this epic Northwest snow storm and there is an end in sight, but it just seems to be getting pushed back further and further. Tonight was the first time I left the house and it was glorious, but very hard to get up our hill. I always bragged about my Honda Accord having amazing powers to get anywhere in the snow. Today the snow and ice won! We had to put chains on Bessy for the first time! We finally made it up our hill and are safe and sound and we now have power. That has been touch and go all day too. HAPPY HOLIDAYS GIG HARBOR! I have been doing a lot of thinking about this year and the upcoming holiday season. I am not sure if anyone feels the same way, but I think it kind of snuck up on me this year. I have normally been prepared and ahead of schedule when it comes to decorating and getting my gifts for people. This year was different. I waited until the last minute for everything. I was even saying to my husband last night that I haven’t even made any holiday treats. We had nothing to snack on. I guess in a way that is a good thing because I will not gain the traditional 5 lbs. this year, but it just seems sad to me. Great to be a Follower Instead of a Leader! Let the Movement Begin I saw this video the other day at a SendOutCards event. I loved every moment of this. It spoke to me in such a way that I have never thought of leadership in this way. I have always seen myself as a leader and I have never had a problem with standing up for what I see I have to do to get things done! But I realized that there are also moments in my life where I have been the follower. And it's true, if everyone were leaders, then that would be really ineffective. So follow on my friends!
