We are going to break down what is happening with this local market so you can be an educated buyer or seller. The first set of statistics we are going to share is supply and demand. The Tournament of Champions competition for the World Championship Sand Sculpting is taking place right here in Federal Way, Washington through September 5th. The tournament takes place outdoors in a large parking lot - the key word being outdoors.  The Pacific Northwest is a pretty rainy area and when I brought my granddaughter, Kayla last year I didn't expect too much as it was raining alot.   It really was amazing how intricate some of these sculptures get!  The rain did take its toll on some but not that bad. This year Kayla & I brought some friends to see what was going on.  The weather was quite different with temperatures in the 80's and I heard concerns that the heat was creating them to dry and crack.  I was again impressed by the art work and imaginations!   Sand Sculpting Tour of Champions coming to Federal Way, Washington.  For those who are into sand sculpting BIG time, you will probably want to make your way to Federal Way, Washington between August 18 and September 5, when the Sand  Sculpting Tour of Champions will be held.   They held a world championship last year – but it was later in the year and the proverbial Seattle rain created some problems, leading to this year’s earlier dates.
