I have been doing some researching lately on government back mortgage programs for Washington State first time homebuyers and what I found was quite interesting. House Key State Bond is a program for first time homebuyers (or if you are in a targeted area you can be a second, third...etc homebuyer) that uses educational seminars as an incentive to get a lower interest rate.Personally, I think the homebuyer educational seminar is an excellent idea. It gives people a closer look at home ownership which can help with creating healthy money management practices as well as give them an idea what home ownership is all about. It seems that that money management practices are left out of the educational process and is something I do not see that often even in the blogosphere. The program also ha...

Adding some black pieces in a home, whether it be furniture, an area rug, artwork frames or candlesticks can add a sense of sophistication and elegance to any room.  This photo is a perfect example of how black adds these qualities to a room.  The Everett, Washington, newly constructed staged home has been getting rave reviews from potential buyers who love the "great room" concept and the affordable sophistication that this home offers.  After staging, several homes within this new community have sold to buyers who feel in love with the comfortable yet upscale presentation provided by this staged. Military Relocation! Supporting our troops is just part of Being The People's Realtor I haven't blogged about this to update the people as to my services yet, but I most certainly will now. As a Veteran myself I understand how scary and unsettling it can be going to war. Not because you fear for yourself, but many times because you fear for loved ones. You want them to be secure in a home while you go off and defend the country. Military location is just another one of my specialities, and as a former sailor stationed at lovely Naval Station Everett I can empathize and really make my client's best interests my own. I can certainly relate to arriving here in lovely Everett, Washington and not knowing what the great city has to offer. I can also relate to leaving the lovely city. I can he...

So Subprime Blows Up; So What, Says Cramer Speaking about the media, Jim Cramer of MAD MONEY says, "What kind of story is it to say that you (media) know that of the 200 private equity deals only one has failed. What kind of story is that? ... Focus on the one that has failed... It's really important for the journalists to look like they are in the room with the big boys ... I know the lack of importance it (subprime) has versus treasuries ... If I was a journalist without any of the experience I had I don't think I would write about anything other than this."  Click on link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVl9SQ-KVmE&NR=1MARKET MELTDOWN ... Everett WA Real Estate and homes for sale. Don't believe the media hype!We have all been seeing stories in the media about how slow the housing market has become, how the housing prices are dropping, and what a buyer's market it is.However, in our part of the country, most of this is not true.  The fact remains that while there are more homes on the market and they are taking slightly longer to sell, the market is not nearly as bad as the media would like you to believe.I personally believe what we are seeing is a NORMAL market for Everett real estate.  Everett area homes for sale aren't being snatched up in the first few days and they are not selling for more than the list price.I think many people (including the media) thought that our past HOT market in Everett was normal. As the foll...

Everett Condos Everett condominium..what else needs to be said? They are being built like crazy and someone you know probably said that the Everett Condo market is inflated. I'm here to say that our market is very safe. If you want to be scared, then watch the news. If you want to know the truth, then here are the facts about Everett Condos and the market. The Seattle area has a gross domestic product (GDP) that is one of the healthiest and strongest in the nation. Look at all of the large powerful businesses that draw money away from the far reaches of the globe and bring those funds here to the Seattle area to stay. Companies like Boeing, Microsoft, T-mobile, Costco, REI, Amazon.com just to name a few all have corporate headquarters here. Those companies keep our economic pistons pump...

Everett real estate is an integral part of the city's strong economic development.  Home of 92,000 people, a Navy port, several colleges, Boeing, four professional sports teams, and so much more, the city is bound to continue growing at an incredible pace.   Purchasing Everett real estate is a safe bet.Dating back to 1861, Everett is proud of its rich history.  Classic houses and buildings reflect the nearly 150 years of progress, and the sturdy economy is pushing even more well-planned construction.   As the city grows, areas are being rezoned and redesigned to better accommodate the increasing populations' needs.  Thus, unique commercial, single-family, and multi-family investment opportunities abound in Everett. The city has agencies dedicated entirely to helping businesses start and...

Everett condominiums are more than a hot trend - they're a lifestyle.  Hip urbanites, growing families, and everyone in between are moving into condos throughout Western Washington.  Everett is no exception.Downtown is on the forefront of the Everett condominium movement.  As the Seattle Times explains, "downtown Everett is enjoying a renaissance, with thriving new businesses and a trend toward condominium construction."  Residing in the neighborhood is more than convenient; it's part of a growing movement. Downtown Everett condominiums come in every size and style.  Oftentimes, commercial buildings are converted into unique, artistic condos, fitting studios and two-bedrooms onto the same floor.   Other complexes are built from the ground up with condominiums in mind, providing flexibil...

Everett commercial real estate is available throughout the city, and it is the perfect time to buy.  The recently booming economy has required zones to be redrawn, providing even better opportunities to invest in the highly sought after Everett commercial real estate. Dotting the medium and high-density housing areas are blocks of Institutional Zones.  Many assume these are reserved strictly for schools, churches, cemeteries, and hospitals.   Smart developers and investors, however, realize that these can also be used for professional offices, private medical clinics, "quasi-public facilities", and even multiple-family units.   Clearly, Everett commercial real estate deserves a close look.Unlike most cities in Washington, Everett has an entire waterfront area devoted to commercial uses....

As i recently launched my website I am continually learning more about how the web works and its benefits. Clients can search for mortgage advisers from the comfort of their home and find a person to connect with and feel safe to trust with home financing. Another reason is that it gets me familiar with internet marketing and the various options available to create a residual advertising stream. Well that is all for me tonight.

Today I was do something about who Barnett Associates Real Estate, LLC likes to refer clients to when it comes to a home mortgage. The first person to cross my mind was the Chris Ward, an Everett home mortgage consultant for Mortgage Advisory Group on Colby. As I sat in a class this morning one of the topics proceeded into predatory lending by the mortgage industry and I am happy to say that Chris Ward does nothing of the sorts. Through the years he has proven himself a reliable and trusted person from start to finish.Sitting down and chatting with Chris a person can quickly know that he is a honest and trust worthy person, if he wasn't Mortgage Advisory Group probably wouldn't want him on their team. In the loan process he provides status reports detailing what stage the loan is in and...

Ladies and Gentlemen:I wanted to bring another great local business to your attention.  The Original Basket Boutique is a great gift idea for all occasions.  Shannon Wright is the owner and she really brings a lot of great ideas to the table.  If you don't find anything out of her online catalog Shannon will custom design all your gift baskets to what your clients, friends, and family enjoy.  Shannon also specializes in working with corporations that need several gift baskets for an entire office staff.   For example; my father in law loves classic cars, so the gift basket Shannon made up had "guy stuff" and products involving classic cars. My father in-law really thought it was a great idea being the car buff that he is, and the basket was reasonably priced.  You can pick up your baske...
