I found out yesterday that N/A does not necessarily mean not applicable. I went up to Canada, which is only about 20 miles from Bellingham. Now that the Canadian dollar is worth more, many Canadians come to the US to shop. Then, with school being out, that is quadrupled. Supposedly, to help travelers at each side of the border -- prior to the exits for alternate routes -- a freeway sign that updates is installed and it predicts border waits at the different crossings. Yesterday, it  said that the truck crossing was a 25 minute wait. It said that the Peace Arch, the main crossing, was N/A.  Not applicable? That says to me that the border wait would be not applicable, as in minimal wait. I found out that I was wrong in how I interpreted that. I am just not smart enough to figure out gover...

Things are not looking as pretty for Blaine, especially after looking at Lynden Real Estate this month. The average sales price is down 18.2% compared to last year, the good news is the median price went up a respectable 5.5% compared to last February. The average price is down 16% from the January while the median is up 8.7% from January. Blaine/Birch Bay Real EstateCondos hasve had a good increase in sales price for the 1st half of the year. These stats are not counting the Semiahoo boat slips which are sold as condos.They had a phenomenal 12.7% increase in average sales price and  if you look at median price a decline of 1.5%.2 fewer condos sold this year compared to last and they have been selling a bit faster than last year.
