According to a published article in the Bellingham Herald there could be some substantial growth in Blaine: Developers, Ken Hertz and Ken Schorr submitted application materials/plans  for a new housing project  called Grandis Pond in Blaine WA with more than 1,000 homes, 48,000 square feet of commercial space and 11 miles of off-road trails The project's 1,030 houses, duplexes and apartments or condominiums would increase the number of housing units in Blaine by nearly 50 percent.  Final approval by the city of Blaine may take six to eight months.
