Bellevue's waterfront real estate sales have seen some significant closings recently, with a slow May giving way to a strong June.  The greater Bellevue area (Bellevue, Medina, Yarrow Point, Hunts Point, Beaux Arts, Clyde Hill) had four waterfront homes sell in May, and then a rush of nine sales during June. The more economical waterfront sales were in the Lake Bellevue area, with a number of condos selling in this retail/residential district under $300,000.  A handful of townhomes on West Lake Sammamish in Sammamish Shores were sold in the $800k range. The traditional waterfront home sales started at $900k on West Lake Sammamish,  and quickly moved to the multi-million dollar range in the Points and West Bellevue.  We haven't seen a half-dozen multi-million dollar sales like this in so...

Nine Bellevue waterfront homes were sold in March, a significant jump versus the four homes that were sold in February.  While we seasonally see Spring waterfront sales pick up, the increase has been markedly more significant in Seattle and on the Eastside this year, as compared to years past. The increase of 125% month-over-month was supported by just a couple of waterfront condo sales, near downtown and Meydenbauer Bay.  The waterfront houses were spread evenly between Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington, with the top sales on both lakes between $1.8 and $3.0 million.  With five total sales over $1 million, the waterfront sales in Bellevue are showing a healthy trend moving toward summer. Home sales on Bellevue's waterfront made another incremental gain during 2011.  While the luxury and waterfront markets nationwide are grinding their way back to healthier levels of sales, we're seeing a similar trend across the greater Seattle market. Sales of waterfront homes on the Eastside increased in general in the past year.  Bellevue, in particular, held strong with 50 waterfront home sales (these Bellevue sales do not include homes in Medina, Hunts Point, Yarrow Point, and Beaux Arts which are all sometimes referred to as "Bellevue waterfront homes"). The number of multi-million dollar waterfront homes sold in Bellevue decreased in 2011, with 9 homes over $2 million sold as compared to 12 in 2010.  This is partially due to a smaller pool of buyers at the upper reaches of the m...

Eastside waterfront home sales continued a healthy pace in October, with 11 homes sold across Bellevue, Mercer Island, Kennydale, Issaquah, Kenmore, and Sammamish.  The eleven sales equalled the number of waterfront homes sold on the Eastside in October 2010, and were just one shy of the number of sold homes last month.  Since Greater Seattler waterfront real estate sales usually begin tapering off at the end of the summer, the numbers are showing a fairly strong finish to the height of the waterfront season. Yesterday was a rare sunny day in Seattle.  Here is the fab view from the luxury Bellevue condo we staged yesterday.  Too bad we were too busy schlepping furniture up to this thrid floor unit to properly enjoy it! Unfortunately, this high-end condo didn't look so great on the inside.  Here is the living room prior to staging: Here is the living room after staging: Staging by SISTERS Interior Redesign, Edmonds, WA, 425.776.7890, sisters@sistersredesign.com Give your listings the competive advantage of professional staging and photography.  Contact us today for a complimentary quote.  We look forward to working with you!
