I've spent the majority of my adult life in a suit, behind a desk, writing, speaking and directing traffic for both business and non-profit organizations. When my wife's car went in for inspection a week ago it failed for ball joints. I hate ball joints. For a small window of time, I was able to put on a pair of coveralls, pull out a floor jack, grab a tool-set and get greasy. It was great. Making sure her car is running at its absolute best is extremely important to me. I still hate ball joints, though. Wednesday, I had a friend call who decided that he could defy the powers that be and build a small house without permits.
