Vienna, Va. is a wonderful place to live, raise your family and enjoy life.  December is a busy time for the town.  To begin the holiday season this year, one can participate in the Church Street "holiday stroll" on November 30. I spent most of Saturday and a few hours Sunday this weekend taking lovely out of town buyers house hunting in Vienna, Virginia.  Vienna is one of Northern Virginia's most charming suburbs:  gorgeous, rolling hills, soaring trees, charming shops and restaurants, and this weekend's weather and fall color would have made a great postcard for the best of life in Northern Virginia. The last 2 weeks have been interesting, in 2 separate offer situations with the same buyer the sellers have had unrealistic expectations on what they feel their home is worth. I truly believe it is the responsibility of the listing agent to make their homeowner aware of what can and cannot affect the value of their home. It is also the listing agent's responsibility to go over comparables and what can happen at appraisal time should they find a buyer willing to overpay for the property. In the first offer situation the seller told his agent to absolutely stop telling him that the bank determines the value of the home with an independant appraisal. Vienna VA Photos The weather in Vienna was just so perfect today the trees were hinting of the color changes ahead, the temperature was in the 80's, and I thought it would be a great day to go for a drive and take a few photos.   I was right!  So I thought what better place to post a few photos of Vienna VA then here!  For those of you that are not familiar with Vienna VA, Vienna Virginia is located in northern Virginia in Fairfax County.  In the 2000 census, Vienna had a population of about 14,453.  Vienna is just 17 miles from our nation's capital Washington DC, and it is conveniently located near Dulles International airport to the west.
