It's hard to believe after what seemed to be a long hot Northern Virginia summer that Fall has arrived in Northern Virginia.  With fall comes the chance to see beautiful foliage not only in your backyard but within a two hour radius of Northern Virginia you can see fabulous fall leaves in mass. Here are some of the favorite local places to check out fall colors:Burke Lake ParkRock Creek ParkGreat Falls ParkMason Neck State Park If you want to enjoy a sweeping display of fall colors you can also head to Shenandoah National Park. Driving the 105 mile Skyline Drive with incredible vistas along the winding roads is without a doubt the highlight of the fall season for anyone in the Northern Virginia area. Hope to see you out in the local parks before all the leaves are gone.

Is when your boat ends up in the woods. While out scouting properties along the Potomac River this morning I spied this boat just off the river.  Made me think about all of the explorers who first went up and down the river in the Mason Neck area looking for places to fish, hunt and build their homes.Hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend and don't get lost along the way.

Colder weather means it might be time to take wing and head out of town.  Looks a bit like rush hour on the beltway around DC.  Hope they don't miss the beautiful full moon tonight with Jupiter by it's side.  Hope you had a good day and the rest of the week is uneventful.
