Haymarket, VA - Homes for Sale - Nationwide Foreclosure Filings Fall To 40-Month Low Foreclosure activity continues to drop nationwide. Based on data from foreclosure-tracking firm RealtyTrac, foreclosure filings nationwide fell below 220,000 in April 2011, a 9 percent decrease from March. A "foreclosure filing" is defined as any foreclosure-related action including Notice of Default, Scheduled Auction, or Bank Repossession. April marks the seventh straight month in which foreclosure filings have dropped and total filings are down more than one-third year-over-year. One reason why filings are down is that banks are letting more time pass between delinquency and foreclosure, exploring alternative courses of actions such as short sales and loan modifications. Another Haymarket, VA Short Sale--SOLD! The waiting for Short Sale Approval is not always the longest process in a Short Sale Listing.  In the case of this Westmarket townhouse in Haymarket, VA, the hardest part was waiting for a ready, willing and able Buyer.  Willing and able to not only wait for Short Sale Approval, but to wait for the current lease to expire on the townhouse before moving in. Cupcake Heaven in Haymarket, VA is a place I've been wanting to go inside for at least two years.  I've had their cupcakes on two occasions and I can say, they nearly melted in my mouth.  YUM!  So when I was looking to do something nice for my two new sets of neighbors in Braemar, I drove up to Old Town Haymarket and had my first live experience AT Cupcake Heaven. Walking in from the parking lot, the shop doesn't look like much, but don't judge a book by it's cover.  Once inside, you can smell the delightful goodies.  There are tables and chairs in the cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a cupcake.  There are even small gifts and cards you can purchase. No wonder they call this place Cupcake Heaven!  The cupcakes were priced at $3 per cupcake.  I ordered two dozen, one for each...
