 What’s this huge fence going up along RT. 15 North in Haymarket?   Many of our of Haymarket residents have been wondering about the huge fence going up along RT. 15N. The fence is actually a Noise Abatement Fence for the Westmarket Chase Neighborhood. This sound barrier fence is funded by Prince William County and it will be 12 feet high and constructed out of a medium gray composite material. The Westmarket HOA informed the homeowners who have existing fences across the back of their property that it’s their option to remove these fences or not. Should a homeowner decide to remove the fence it’s recommended that they do so before the construction starts as it will make construction and maintenance of the new fence much easier. First Impressions of a New Construction High End Model Home Yesterday I had the occasion to take out some clients to look at a high end model home.  It was a magnificent home on ten acres in Haymarket, VA priced about $800,000.  My clients were actually sellers looking to see what their new construction competition was offering and how they stacked up.  It was a great exercise in showing my Sellers what buyers can get for the same or less money, but that is not the point of this post. What shocked all three of us was one stand out item of the model home.  It wasn't the beautiful curved staircase, or hardwood floors.  Not the custom floor to ceiling, scalloped window in the two story family room.  No. Not even the kitchen with its fantastic granite surfaces and high end marble flooring. ...
