When you are walking down a sidewalk do you ever wonder who else has walked there? Below is a photo of a sidewalk I took at the University of Virginia. These walkways were designed by Thomas Jefferson and built by his architects. There have been literally millions of feet on these walkways and many famous people. Jefferson most likely and even people like Edgar Allen Poe (who attended the University)... Oh yes and your Charlottesville Real Estate Agent, Charles McDonald has even walked these sidewalks! Next time you are in a historic area, think about who may have walked where you are. It will widen your perspective!

I was going to write about this and sure enough our local paper beat me to it.  They are good!   Here is what the Daily Progress wrote: "Approximately 5,000 students moved in to University of Virginia housing on Saturday. University police estimated that move-in day would bring more than 15,000 people and 6,000 car to Grounds."   You see we get a flood of student and new faculty every year and this weekend the Charlottesville Real Estate was over-flowing! The streets and stores are packed, try going to "Best Buy"... This is just part of the yearly ritual here in the Charlottesville area. This week we stay out of downtown and in a week or so we will be back to normal...   You would not believe the amount of calls I have received for rentals. I do not understand why people wait until t...
