I thought the shoppers were supposed to be out in drives today.  I went to the gym for a 9:30 a.m. workout and my trainer said that Wal-Marts had the shotgun shells that I like on sale for $18 per 100 rounds.  Normal price is $22.87 per 100 shells.  The sale was supposed to be until 11:00 a.m  I was at the Wal-Mart in Leesburg at 9:45 a.m.  WHERE WERE ALL THE CROWDS??Not in Leesburg Virginia I would estimate that the number of shoppers in the Leesburg Wal-Mart was that of a normal Saturday.  More than a normal Friday, but not crowded.  Check-out took no time with one person in line ahead of me.  The trap range, The Bull Run Shooting Range, on the other hand was very busy, like a busy Saturday.    Courtesy, Lenn Harley, Broker, Homefinders.com, 800-711-7988.      11/25/2011

Market Report for Centreville Virginia September 2011This month’s look at Centreville sales year-to-date show that there has been a light decrease in the number in sales in the condo market, about the same number of sales in single family homes, and a slight decrease in the number of townhomes sold. At the end of August, 2010, there were 243 single family homes as compared to 242 in 2011.  There were 467 townhomes sold in 2010, and 414 in 2011 year-to-date.  The condo market saw sales in 2010 at 79, and 61 year-to-date in 2011.  The data shows that while the the Centreville housing market hasn’t started trending upwards, it certainly isn’t going to the opposite extreme either.  Home owners are holding steady, and home buyers are proceeding with caution, with uncertainties remaining in o... 09/14/2011

It's always a good day when a Northern Virginia Short Sale Agent can proudly proclaim one of their Short Sale listings is officially SOLD.   This Northern Virginia Short Sale hit the market on March 23, 2011 priced at $735,000.  The neighborhood of Faircrest in Centreville being in such high demand, we had the winning offer before six hours on the market had passed. This particular Northern Virginia Short Sale was a Wells Fargo Short Sale and had two loans with that bank.  I've never found Wells Fargo "double headers" to be a problem, so I wasn't surprised when had our First Trust Approval letter by May 3rd.  That approval came with a contract change that affected the Buyers.  Their requested closing costs of $22,050 was countered to $14,700. ... 06/24/2011
