Well it is 9 degrees outside as I am typing (is that still an applicable word?) this post, so who wouldn't love a trip to the Islands?  Rumbi Island Grill is just that although with Hawaiian cuisine along with jerked meats, I am not sure which Islands you would be going to!  I do know that the food is excellent!  This is a chain with franchises that began in Salt Lake City in 2000.  That is why I include it in my blogs about the local places to eat.  There are locations in Colorado, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada, so it is more than just local at this point. I don't know about any of you, but I like sushi.  I could eat sushi 3 or 4 times a week and not tire of it.  Here in South Davis County we are blessed to have a couple of excellent sushi restaurants.  One of which is in West Bountiful, it is the Mikado.  There are several Mikado restaurants around the Salt Lake area.  The sushi is excellent, and for those who don't like sushi, there are some great other food options even burgers.  I recommend taking advantage of "happy hour" several of the rolls come at a reduced price.  The California Roll is always reasonably priced.  The Mikado has a great atmosphere and the wait staff is very good.  They do a great job describing and suggesting menu items.  It is located in West Bountiful off of 500 West, which is old Highway 89.  It is another of t...

I am continuing to highlight some of the great eateries that we enjoy right here in our backyard in South Davis County.  Today I am choosing my nephew's favorite, Arella's in West Bountfiul. It offers wood fire pizza in a brick oven pizza.  You can choose from one of the house specialities or make your own.  My nephew loves the pink sauce pizzas!  Arella's also offer soups, salads and some really good pasta!  It is a casual, clean atmosphere that is friendly for families and at the same time intimate enough for a casual evening with that special someone, in my case, Darcy!  For those unfamiliar with this wonderful restaurant, it is right off of Interstate 15 just North of Lowe's in West Bountiful.  It is another restaurant that I would recommend!  Here is it's website: http://www.arella...

We need Positive Price Action to confirm market bottom.  One month of price improve isn't sufficient to confirm the market bottom.  We need to see appreciation month over month for three months. PRICE ACTION                    Other good signs in addition to positive price action is lower DOM (days of the market), lower new listingsand higher percent of new listings being SOLD.   SUMMARY Has the Utah Real Estate Market bottomed?
