Apparently, even if you get legally married, and your State Supreme Court declares that you are, indeed, legally married, it doesn't matter to some states, or at least some cities and their newspapers. The Associated Press is reporting today that The Spectrum newspaper in St. George, Utah, rejected a wedding announcement for a gay couple who were legally married in California on June 17, 2008. Tyler Barrick and Spencer Jones wanted their wedding announced prior to a family event in St. George next week. Both Barrick and Jones are from Utah, with Jones being from St. George, and both were raised in the Mormon Church. SunRiver St.George has been involved in a unique program for new homeowners in an effort to support Intermountain Health Care's mission to bring world class health care to everyone served by the new Dixie Regional Medical Center.  Only two hours east of Las Vegas Nevada on I-15 is the Beautiful town/ city of Saint George, right on the very south West tip of Utah.  We went for a short ride on the Harley Sunday afternoon and it was beautiful, with cooler temperatures.  Saint George has been rated between 2-3 number one places to retire in the entire United States. And if you have ever been to Saint George you would understand why!  It is very difficult to take photographs when your riding motorcycle because when you drive by a beautiful scene you have to pull the bike over jump off and pull the camera out of the bags, etc.  I did the best I could and a friend that I was with started to get bothered because he kept having to pull over every time Vegas Bob stopped. Todd Clark, a fellow ActiveRainer and new friend arrived in St. George, Utah at 10:00 a.m. today with his family to pick up Athena, their newest family member. I originally arranged to meet him and his family at my house in Veyo, where we'd visit a little, discuss piglet-care and they'd be on their way with Athena on board. My boys and I caged her and she was extremely agitated so my husband decided to bring her down and meet everyone at Bluff Street Park in St. George.  I took a photo of this Biker Dude and he started coming at me trying to grab Vegas Bob's camera!  I was with some clients showing some homes today and when we were parked I took a photograph of this Biker Dude with my camera and he started coming towards me trying to grab my camera.  I quickly got in my car and drove off as fast as I could! This calla lily was a stand-alone this year in our garden. Usually we have several that dot our backyard with vibrant color. Oh, but she is a beauty! This flowering palnt caught my eye while replenishing brochure boxes at one my listings. I thought the little prongs coming out of the flower looked like little forks. Do you see that? An agent called me regarding showing a million dollar plus listing that I have. It takes about a 1/2 hour to get it ready to show...it's a large, luxury home with many features including a 30 foot waterfall in the living room and a water fountain in the courtyard plus a resort-style pool area in the backyard and so much more. I love to make my listings shine when possible so if a little sweeping or dusting is needed, I do it!They arrived an hour late (no phone call) and the next day I called to get some feedback...and the agent doesn't answer the phone...nor do I receive a return call!
