I feel incredibly fortunate to have reconnected with some longtime friends and expanded my social circle to include their friends, which has truly broadened my horizons. Recently, a few of us stumbled upon a charming independent hotel and bar in Round Rock, conveniently close to Austin. What a journey it has been for my seller as she navigated the complexities of selling her mother's home in Avery Ranch. I sold their home years ago in Canyon Creek as they relocated to VA. Her mom lived in Avery Ranch and the challenges began when I first met with them last February, recognizing that listing the house while her mother was still living there would be a formidable task. Advising them to create a will promptly due to her mother's failing health, the situation took a turn for the worse when she passed away in March after a prolonged battle with cancer.Despite having consulted with an attorney before her death, the document crafted was not sufficient for selling the home. Gavin's Gift of Grace, a non-profit organization established in memory of Gavin Grant Gouldie, who sadly passed away on May 17th, 2018, is a project close to my heart, as Gavin's grandmother is a dear friend of mine (she is the middle gal Teresa Gouldie).   This remarkable organization is dedicated to providing care packages and various forms of support to families who are going through the challenging experience of grieving the loss of a child.
