Glen Haven Estates Pours New Boat Launch   I was out and about in Glen Haven Estates this week doing a little homework for a future lot listing. Every time that I list land in a subdivision, I always take new photos of the subdivision amenities. Yes, I have photos on file, and sometimes I stick with those... but you never know when you may get a better shot. It only takes a second AND it’s digital. I can save the best and get rid of the others!   To my surprise, Glen Haven Estates had poured a NEW boat launch. This just totally thrilled me! WHY, You ask? Because it says something about the subdivision. I am sure we all have a few strange stories in Real Estate to tell. How could we not? Some are good stories, some are not so good and others are just strange. That is exactly this story. Once upon a time, my husband and I were contacted by a gentleman that was checking himself into a nursing home and was ready to list his house for sale. We were very happy to help him sell his home for as much money as we possibly could. The little house was located off the main drag of Trinity, Texas and could possibly be used as a commercial property which added value to his old building.  Even so, the house was old and modest. Hillwood Acres     Lake Livingston   I made a quick trip to Trinity yesterday to take a photo for a Comparative Market Analysis. As the sun began to set, I found myself just about to cross over the White Rock Creek bridge on FM 356 and the sun was reflecting beautifully on the lake. I decided to go to the closest boat ramp and see if I could get a shot! Tada! The sunset at Hillwood Acres Subdivision on Lake Livingston. There was a community fishing pier there as well.   If I lived here this is where I would be every night. I’d hop in my golf cart, grab a glass of iced tea and head over to watch the sun set with my honey! Aaaah..... Heaven DOES seem a little closer when you’re sitting beside the water! 04/19/2011
