Extreme Science Going on Until 8pm at Chick-fil-A Tomball.  The scientist is doing lots of experiments tonight.  The kids at Chick-fil-A are absolutely riveted to every move the scientist is doing. This was just after 6pm when he started his experiments.  When he asked for a volunteer, the kids could not get their hands fast enough.  They all wanted to be the volunteer. Here is where he started the experiment.  The kid had their eyes are glued to the bucket with water in it. This clay head had some unusual markings on it --they kind of look like dominoes.  On the back of the head there is a yellow monkey. US Wins Gold in four Man Bobsled just minutes ago.  From Vancouver, Steve Holcomb and the Night Train win the four man bobsled competition.  This is the first time the United States has won the 4 man Bobsled event since 1948 at St. Moritz.  The bobsled track in Vancouver is at Whistler and is touted to be the fastest track ever in Olympic history.  Bob Costas says that Holcomb and the Night Train won the competition because of their fast start times.  Congratulations to the US Four Man Bobsled Team -- we are so proud of you!!! 02/27/2010

Today at approximately 12:30pm the Sam Houston Trail Riders passed by my office on FM 249 (also known as Tomball Parkway) here in Tomball.  I ran out to the street and started taking pictures as soon as I saw a horse go by my window. I knew some people from the wagon, they started hooping and hollerin' when they saw me on the side of the street.  The lady riding the chestnut horse is Robbie Powell.  She works at Tomball College.  See the little maroon banners in the background?  They are the Tomball College banners for Lone Star College.  Some of the trail riders preferred to stay inside the wagons, it is cold today.  Supposed to snow either today or tonight sometime.
