Sugar Land is getting more retail: Burlington Stores & Kirksland's StoresApril 28, 2016Burlington revealed their plans to open a new 50,000 sf store in Sugar Land at Telfair. The location will be at the University Commons Shopping Center at University Blvd and US Highway 59 next to Costco. The store is scheduled to open in Spring 2017. University Commons is expected to be a 160,000 sf retail development on 14.73 acres of prime commercial property. Katy has a New Radio Station - My Breeze/Kbreeze Sports 106.1 A brand new radio station has opened in Katy which will be serving Fort Bend County Texas. They can be found at FM  My Breeze and Kbreeze Sports. The station recently started operations in late August 2015.  Bob Mackay from Sugar Land is managing partner behind this new broadcasting and webcasting business.  He is a  twenty- year radio executive The primary focus of the station is on Fort Bend County ISD sports and classic hit music.  Future plans are to expand high school sports broadcasting to include Katy ISD. HUD has come out and changed some of their rules for FHA loans. The biggest one being you now have to count deferred loan payments in the borrowers(buyers) debt to income ratio. Vs before you could ignore that payment if it was deferred for over 12mths. This is obviously not good news as it would now reduce some buyers ability to buy homes or buy as much home. This change along with a few others goes into affect for all FHA loans officially started on and after 9/14/2015. Specifically the FHA loan is officially started when a case number is ordered from FHA. And can only be done with a property address, so if you have a current FHA buyer that is pre-approved, you will want them to confirm with their lender that they are still pre-approved under the new guidelines.
