Homes in Deer Hollow-Nice Area In North San Antonio  (originally posted at iHeart-sa.com) The name on the sign at the entrance of the community is Deer Hollow. But according to the Bexar County Appraisal District the community name is Deerwood. I’m guessing some marketing gurus had a meeting in the early days of the development’s formation and decided Deer Hollow had a better sound than Deerwood.   In an earlier career I was a marketing guy so I understand how naming things for good effect tends to go.  Deer Hollow has 214 houses. Once made available for sale they do not usually remain on the market very long. Deer Hollow-Searching For A Great Place to Live in San Antonio Deer Hollow is south of West Bitters Road, between Huebner Road and Blanco Road in San Antonio. It is about one mile inside Loop 1604. When looking for homes for sale in Deer Hollow you might also check for the community name "Deerwood NE". The sign at the entrance to the community is labeled Deer Hollow, but tax records show the legal name for the community is Deer Hollow NE. Some marketing genius probably thought Deer Hollow was a cooler name, and it probably is.     Whatever you call it, it's a nice area with large mature trees and some separation between houses.
