Do you love a good treasure hunt? Well, come on out to the twice-a-year, largest antiques show in the country! All right here in tiny, (population 86), Round Top, Texas. This show brings folks in from all over the country and even from many other countries. If you are looking for some unique finds, this is the place. I will typically bring a group of women and we rent a cool farmhouse and spend days shopping and having the time of our lives. Seriously, there are miles and miles of shows to attend. It is worth a trip to visit either the last month of March or the last month of September. Twice a year you can come and get your fix. Today, I walked about 9 miles. We had a ball. Want to come to the next show????

Amber Thomas, President of PT50 makes a difference in the events she plans for PT 50! She is always thinking outside the box to provide events that will enrich our lives as Realtors® combined with plenty of fun!On March 29, 2017 an introduction to one of the newest and hottest communities, Bryson was the meeting place with breakfast and bubbles at the Perry Homes model. What a treat! I’ve not been out to the Bryson community and was definitely impressed. Everyone is talking about “live at Bryson” because it’s a fantastic community with sensational builders on tree covered lots!Kadis Rushing is the marketing director for Bryson and introduced us to the community and also showed us all the new construction surrounding the community on our bus tour to Marburger Farms! So much to discover, ...

This 4th of July we went to our friends home in Round Rock TX to watch the parade from the front yard of their beautiful vintage home.  The parade was wonderful with lots of colorful floats, bands on trailers, horses, and even a group of people riding their longhorns!  It was the epitome of small town American with a pure Central Texas feel.  What a perfect day.  Of course there was tons of food including frito pie, hot dogs, chili and more cakes and cookies than someone with a sweet tooth could dream of!  But my favorite dish was the Zucchini salad.  It w had just the right sweet and tangy flavor mix but the key was the crisp veggies.  I asked for the receipe and am going to share it with you all.   12 medum zucchini thinly sliced, 1 bell pepper (red, green orange or yellow ) finely ch...

Here in Central Texas there are MANY great places to antique shop.   Bastrop and Smithville both have wonderful main street antique and collectible shops.  Lockhart has a couple on it's square. One of the biggest markets happens twice an year in the Round Top area. Round Top is located on Highway 237 at FM Road 1457 in Fayette County  . They are having their 40th annual event , their Fall Antiques Fair, October 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2007.   Approx. 300 vendors set up in a total of 4 locations.  Tickets are 10.00 and are good for all 4 locations all 4 days.  If you are an established collector, or a beginner, or just a pack rat with eclectic tastes this is one market you should  plan on spending a couple of days investigating.  Oh and don't forget to bring your $ and a truck to haul back yo...
