One of the things I love about living and working in the Friendswood, Pearland, Clear Lake area is that we have a strong network of Christian women from many different churches and backgrounds. These women come together quarterly for fun, fellowship, and friendship with the Southeast Christian Women's Club. This month's SECWC luncheon, known as Dynamic Women Luncheon and Networking Event, will be held Thursday, May 14, at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Houstonian Nancy Briggs, this month's featured guest speaker, is a teacher and a cancer survivor. Paws in the Park has become one of my favorite Pearland events!  I look forward to it each year and have marked my calendar for this weekend!    This year's Paws in the Park is being coordinated by Pup Squad Animal Rescue.  This organization rescues puppies and nursing litters from the streets, shelters and other situations and helps to place them in forever homes.  They also take in adult dogs when necessary.  My assistant Nicole adopted an adult lab mix from them last summer. Toss It Tuesday   The kitchen is one of the rooms that can make or break the buyer's decision to purchase a home!
