Hurricane season is upon us and here on the Gulf Coast, we take it seriously! The CDC gives some tips on what to do when a hurrican watch is issued:    Fill your automobile's gas tank. If no vehicle is available, make arrangements with friends or family for transportation. Fill your clean water containers. Review your emergency plans and supplies, checking to see if any items are missing. Tune in the radio or television for weather updates. Listen for disaster sirens and warning signals. The folks at Southern Elegance tell me today is Pina Colada Day! I am ready for someone to serve me with one! I love Rum, cream of coconut, pineapple and juice of pineapple. The drink was invented in San Juan in 1952, by a person of the name of Ramón ‘Monchito’ Marrero Pérez. I drove by King’s Biergarten and Restaurant the other day and saw the parking lot packed, as usual, and thought I should tell you about this fantastic Pearland restaurant! A taste of Germany right here in our community! The restaurant was opened in April 2011. King’s Hand Car Wash was already an established business in Pearland, but the owner, Johann Sitter had a dream of creating a restaurant where patrons of the car wash could grab a bite to eat while they waited.
