I heard a commercial recently on the radio and a lady was talking about buying a home for $1000. She said that she was paying less now then she was when she was renting??? Really!!I hope so. I am asked every so often where are the good deals. Where are the great homes for pennies on the dollar. All I can say is somewhere in the world this may have happened but I do not see it happening in this area. In this area our homes have not jump up value 200 to 400 percent. You don't buy a $100,000 home and in a year turn and sell it for $200,000. We steadily improve 3 to 5 percent every year. There may be a better return in other states but we did not have the huge fall recently when the house of cards came crashing down. What to do..what to do. I recently lost a would be client because he did not understand why I (a Realtor) wanted to get him pre approved before we started looking at real estate. His lender (can you believe it) told him that his real estate agent should just start showing him properties??
