I attended my very first realtor's designation several weeks ago: Accredited Staging Professional. I opted for the ASP Realtor title as I plan to offer staging to my clients as a value-added service. My feedback on the course is overwhelmingly positive. I am extremely enthusiatic about offering this service to my clients as I gained valuable insights and ideas to better serve my customers. The class was taught by an approved instructor: Bette Vos (for mine). Bette is such a fine lady. She conducted the class very well. More importantly, I think the founder of Staged Homes, Barb Schwarz had carefully put together a well-thought out syllabus for both realtors and stagers alike. I have done many listing presentations in the past. After I attended this class, I gained more confidence to ump...

A good personal friend of mine, Shelley Reynolds,  owns Reynolds Signature homes.  Shelley is a resident of Starwood in Frisco and has built many beautiful homes in the neighborhood, including mine.  Please allow me to introduce her and her company.Shelley Reynolds                              President and OwnerYou could say that building is in Shelley Reynolds' blood. Her father is a builder in Michigan. While growing up, it would not be unusual to find Shelley working for her father on a project. Whether it was framing or roofing a house, there was plenty of on the job training. She never knew this experience would help build the foundation for her own business.                                       After Shelley and her husband Jeff built a custom home, Shelley had the desire to get...

Last night was the Annual Daddy Daughter Dance in Frisco. I really have to say that this has got to be one of the best events the city puts on. The complete event was sold out. Every age group had their own time slot starting with the younger girls from 4:00 until 5:30. Most realtors who have their own website have struggled with the questions of how optimize their site on search engines. After all, what's the good of having a great website, if no one can find it when they search the web? The competition is fierce for Realtors competing for the top spots on search engine results. I live in Frisco, Texas and if you do a google search for "real estate in frisco" or "frisco tx realtor" you literally get hundreds of results. So how do you climb to the top?I think I have read almost every book or article on website optimization and employed their strategies. I have to say, it did help a little bit, but when you're competing with so many others and those using pay per click, you can only do so well. I caved in and did what I said I would never do, I now use ...

Once Upon a Dream . . . the Daddy/Daughter Dance Tradition Continues in Frisco, TX February 17th.    This time of year always has me reflecting on the last several years.  Why now you may ask?  Why not 6 weeks ago on New Years' like the rest of America.  You see, my husband, daughter and I (plus 2 dogs & 2 cats) made the big move from Washington DC to Frisco, TX in late January 2003.  This will mark our 4th winter in Texas (a very cold one at that) and our 4th year reading and hearing all about Frisco's Daddy Daughter Dance.     I remember vividly February 2003 because we had just closed on our home in West Frisco, there was tons of unpacking to do, and I didn't know a soul in town yet.  If you've ever packed up your whole life and made a big move like that you know there is a fleeting ...

Everytime I see Frisco's growth in numbers all I can say is WOW!  Now, I'm no stranger to metropolitan areas because I grew up in a New York City suburb and then moved to Washington DC.  But, I've never lived in a place that adds over 600 residents a month.  Just another reason this city is so dynamic!!! Ms. Rosenberg's subsequent novels have also appeared on the New York Times best-seller list: Interest of Justice, First Offense, California Angel, Trial by Fire, and Abuse of Power. Her most recent novels include Buried Evidence, Conflict of Interest, Sullivan's Law, Sullivan's Justice, and Sullivan's Evidence. Ms. Rosenberg relocated to Frisco from California and is currently working on a new best seller. Ms. Rosenberg was a pleasure to work with and will offer a needed literary touch to o...
