Have you been wondering if Electric Cars will catch on?  Have you been wanting to "Go Green", but afraid of where to find chargers?  Well I was thrilled when I dined at Cullen's on Space Center Blvd this week and recognized that they have multiple Electric Car charging stations :)  This is exciting...not only is Houston embracing the idea of Electric energy for vehicles, but we have merchants right in our own backyard that are taking a stand to be on the cutting edge and make it convenient for us.  After seeing the electric charging stations here in our own neighborhood I did a little Google searching and discovered other areas in Houston that have embrace this concept as well:  Memorial City Mall; The Houston Center downtown, and HEB on Buffalo Spdwy.  I'm certain they'll be others.

I've been telling you that changes are on the horizon... and they are.  April 1 there will be dramatic changes to the FHA mortgage loan guidelines --- No Fooling! Currently in Houston Metropolitan area homebuyers may use an FHA loan to purchase a home with a maximum loan value of $271,050...which means a home purchase price of $280,880, and only have a down-payment investment of 3.5%.  This is true for properties in Harris, Brazoria, Galveston, Chambers and Fort Bend counties.  The only mortgage in which you may have a lower down-payment is a Veteran Administration loan for our veteran buyers who may purchase with no down payment at all.  Thank you for your service.  Or in a few select regions a USDA mortgage, also with no down payment. What is going to change on April 1st?  Credit qual...

As a Rotarian I am extremely pleased to be a member of the local Space Center Rotary here in the Clear Lake area.  I am able to interact with a wonderful group of professionals and like minded individuals that believe in and enjoy giving back to our community. Recently I was able to assist our youth exchange students on an out of town trip and was delighted to interact with two lovely exchange students, Julie and Hannah from Denmark and Sweden.  Wonderful young ladies each full of excitement and genuine appreciation for the opportunity to be accepted as exchange students here.  They spoke of their experiences in school, trips they've been able to experience with their host families and the studies they are engaged in.  It was a wonderful experience to hear Hannah speak of how she wants ...

A spike in burglaries has police cracking down in parts of the Clear Lake area. Certain neighborhoods have been targets in the middle of the day and police are trying to put a stop to it. It's hard to say why thieves are targeting certain neighborhoods over others. What we do know is that homes are being targets at random and Clear Lake residents are now on guard. Sandy and her husband Wendell are reluctant to open their door when a stranger comes knocking. She said, "It's like we look out to kind of see. If we really don't know who you are and you're not supposed to be here, you wouldn't answer." They've been on alert ever since their neighbor's Clear Lake home was broken into by thieves who stole a bunch of jewelry and a 200lb safe. Wendell said, "They drug it out of there. Well, they...
