Inspiration is to stimulate the mind of emotions to a high level of feelings. Today my Sunday inspiration is to appreciate a little rock church in Barksdale Texas where I spent many fond memories. Over the years this little church has withstood many community services. The growing congregation finally out grew the little building and built a larger church next door. When talk of the church being torn down to make room for additional parking the community pulled together to save Barksdale Historic building. The Barksdale Baptist Church became the first Baptist church in the community in 1883 with a membership of nineteen. Traditionally, baptisms have been held at the nearby Nueces River Crossing.
