No community is immune to crime. Here in Addison, we actively try to do something about it. Through Neighborhood Watch, we look out for each other. There will be a community Neighborhood Watch meeting July 7th, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Addison Treehouse on Midway Road. The Addison Police Department will have a representative talking about recent break ins, updated info regarding new surveillance techniques, an overview of the new dispatch program and several other topics. The Addison Community Garage Sale is back! But don't go to the old Sam's Club location on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Houses sold during January in Addison declined 18%, with 98 houses sold. This year, houses sold have reached 98 overall, which is a 18% drop relative to the same period last year. So far this year, new homes listed are at 141 in all, which is a 11% dip from last year. There were 141 new houses listed this month, a 11% gain from last month. Year-to-date, home sales went down 11% relative to the same month last year, with 104 houses sold. Listed homes under contract during January in Addison fell 11%, with 104 houses currently listed under contract this month. Home sales during December in Addison dipped 29%, with 154 houses sold this month. During 2015, home sales have reached 1,800 overall, which is a 7% drop from a year ago. New houses listed year-to-date climbed 10% relative to the same period last year, with 1,800 properties sold this year. New real estate listings during December in Addison declined 13%, with 88 properties listed this month. Cumulatively this year, homes sold fell 7% compared to the same month last year, with 1,684 houses sold. Addison listings under contract were at 79 properties this month, a 26% decrease from the previous month.
