Over 3,000 victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks will be remembered when a monument to their memory is dedicated to them on Sept. 11, 2012 at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.The monument centerpiece is a 3,000-pound I beam that was donated from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. Urns will be surrounding the I beam to represent the victims on the planes that hit the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, Pa.Memorial bricks bought by citizens will be put around the memorial.
