For heaven’s sake… this is all of it.  Marijuana Growers are burned by the Subprime Meltdown… “Leininger says the growers prefer to own their houses, because it eliminates the risk of a nosy landlord. And he says growers — or their intermediaries — have little trouble getting the loans to buy the houses they need. He said the man who bought 12 houses was a typical case. "Many of the loans were zero-down, no-document loans," he says. I have a good friend who moved to Fairvue Plantation in Gallatin, Tennessee from California. The two of us drove to Portland last week to put up a sign at one of my listings and, also, to visit her grandchildren who attend school in Portland. It was a delightful trip through the Hills to Portland. Our State of Tennessee has Four Seasons and it makes living here wonderful. My friend commented on this while we were traveling. She talked about the beautiful trees that are in full color right now against the backdrop of the green grass. We were in awe of God’s masterpiece. Gallatin’s commitment to build a new downtown library is official.The council gave final approval for the library setting aside $2 million for the project. The council also gave approval on several new road projects throughout town including North Belvedere Drive. The city is negotiating with CSX to widen North Belvedere Drive over the railroad tracks.

Finally - Today's the Day!  The new by-pass is open!Highway 386 or the Vietnam Veterans Parkway officially opens at 3:00 P.M. today...making it possible to drive from Gallatin all the way to Nashville without a red light.  This extension of Vietnam Veterans Parkway has been done at a cost of $36.6 million and extends the highway from Hendersonville to Gallatin.  The highway has two exit ramps...one at Station Camp Road and another at Harris Lane...and ends at Long Hollow Pike.  With the rapid growth of Gallatin...and the accompanying traffic problems,  this highway is a much-needed alternate route.

My phone rings and the caller ask, "What are your rates today?"  Is that all you ask about when you shop for a mortgage?  Have you heard all those stories about people getting to the closing table only to be surpised with some unexpected fees?  Have you heard the stories about all the call backs from the loan officer asking for more and more documents?If all you ask is "What are your rates" you better watch out!  Yes rate is important, and I will do my best to shop all of our lenders to get you the best rate possible.  But I will tell you, there won't be any surpises working with me!
