Selling a Vacant Home?  Read This First! Trying to sell a home in the current market is...difficult.  There are so many variables.  So many different things to consider.  It's all so confusing, so you hire a real estate agent.  I have written before on some of the things you "must" do when listing your home for sale, but this is a special installment that was inspired by a showing this weekend. It's a rhetorical question, really. Recently, I've had the pleasure of helping a lot of clients buy and sell homes.  This is an anomaly in today's real estate market, I can assure you.  However, some of the agents with whom I've had the pleasure of working with left much to be desired.  And, it leaves me to wonder, how on earth are they staying in business in our current economic state? Bargain hunting is a favorite pastime of mine.  I love a good deal!  Even when I see items that I would love to purchase, I much prefer the risk of waiting until it goes on sale to paying full price.  So, imagine my excitement to learn, while I was pregnant, that Lexington is home to some awesome children's consignment sales!  I don't have to wait for the sale -- this stuff is already on sale for great prices.  Children outgrow things so quickly, many times their clothes, toys, books, and all of their associated accessories are barely used before they are outgrown and have to be packed away.  Consignment sales are an excellent opportunity to pick up some savings in the children's department!
