I actually did this when we sold our last house... To add some quick color to the front beds without digging... 1) Get several small bags of potting soil and colorful bedding plants. 2) Cut several drainage slits on one side of the potting soil bags. 3) Place the bags in the beds that need color with the slit down and water the bags. 4) Cut x's in the top of the bag and place the bedding plants into the potting soil through the cuts. 5) Water and coverl with well with pinestraw or other bedding. This works very well when the soil is hard or bedding plants are hard to keep alive in the heat of the summer. (Both are true in Lexington, SC)

I have decided to sponsor a Lexington youth football team. My son will be         playing his first year of tackle football. Im  a little bit nervous about that but        I also think he will do well.     Lexington County SC has a great record for support of team and youth sports. I am proud to offer some financial asistance to give back to my lovely community. I am so thankful that my son and my daughters are active with sports. Give some time and love back to your community and it will make the world just a little bit better place!

Tips to Make Sure Your Columbia SC Real Estate Offer is Accepted Even though the media keeps on telling us that we are in a bad market, remember they are mostly preaching to South Florida as well as Southern California and several other areas.  The Columbia SC Real Estate market is still nice and strong.  However, buyers still have the upper hand.  For example, I spoke about Wildewood properties in the Columbia SC Real Estate market the other day.  In that neighborhood, there is over a year worth of inventory.  Houses are still selling, however, there is a huge amount of competition between the listings due to the number on the market.  So, what are the tips you want to know? 1. What is the Columbia SC Real Estate property truly worth in this market? Have your Columbia SC Real Estate ag...

Lexington SC homes for sale, Farming Creek Community Located a convenient drive from Lexington on the rural outskirts of Lexington Town, Farming Creek is truly a child friendly, safe and conveniently located community for you to consider. Originally a Mungo Homes community, there were several local builders that also participated in completing this development. Its startup was in 2001 and built out in 2007. The community offers lots of sidewalks and street lighting for those leisurely evening strolls. It also has a nice pool with a cabana that is great for those lazy summer days. On a good day you can also get a view of nearby Lake Murray. Public boat landings are less than 5 miles from most of my Lexington SC homes for sale.  There is a local grocery store chain within a mile and a gym...

Well the season is over.  I must say working with 3 year olds was a challenge but it was fun.  I can say getting to know each kid was great and a reward.  I thought most 3 year old kids were pretty much the same but I learned that is not even close to true.  Every member of the team was different and had their own interest and likes and dislikes.  I am looking forward to next year already and completely recommend that you get involved in some manner.

Vista Springs Lexington South Carolina                  Vista Springs is a much desired neighborhood in the Lexington South Carolina area. The home styles and the feel of the area will make you love calling this community home. It is located on Old Cherokee Road on the Lake Murray side of Lexington. Directly in front of the community is the brand new Elementary school, New Providence, located in the Award winning Lexington One School District. The 600 miles of shoreline of Lake Murray are a quick public ramp away, great for swimming, relaxing and fishing. For all of you out there that have boys in baseball you will understand. This is the fourth year my son has played baseball. He is in his last year of coaches pitch baseball. And I am amazed at the difference from a 7 to 8 year old player. At 7 he wasn't very interested in winning or playing to his best. It was more about the fun. NOW he watches baseball on TV, practices on his own and still of course has fun. His name is Tre and I am so proud of him. This year he has a batting average of .833 which I am told is really really good. Our team is 11-1 and heading for a championship and all-stars. the sense of pride has been overcoming. I have never really watched any sport. But now I wont miss any of his games! Except for when I have showings. I actually rescheduled a listing last week to ...

The historic town of Lexington, South Carolina is a direct descendant of the old Royal township of Saxe Gotha. This township was one of eleven established in 1735 by the Colonial government of King George II to encourage settlement of back country South Carolina and serve as a protective buffer between powerful Indian tribes to the west and the older settled plantations of the low country. The name Saxe Gotha was in honor of the marriage of the British Prince of Wales to Princess Augusta of the German State of Saxe Gotha. The territory of colonial Saxe Gotha covered most of present day Lexington County and was traversed by two important early Indian trails, the Cherokee Path which followed roughly modern U.S. Highway #378 and the Occaneechi Path, today U.S. Highway #1. These ancient tr...

The season is now past the half way point and I am having a blast.  I can say that my first head coaching experience has been one of the best things I have ever done.  The kids are great and every week they grasp more about soccer, religion and being part of a team. Most people do not believe that we have a league of 2-3 year old soccer players but we do!  We had picture day this past Saturday and it was a hoot.  I cannot wait to see the team picture and individual pictures as well.So until next time remember GO BLUE JAYS!!!Emily, Hudson, Cade, Anna Claire, Jenna, Hannah, Will, Ash, Daniel, Jared, Reagan
