They have no imagination, no creativity and no new ideas.  Only one writer is needed because they only say one thing ... the sky is falling.     At our company awards breakfast last week it was apparent that some of us had not gotten the gloom doom sky is falling memo. Lexinton SC Real Estate Growth Cause for Landscape Ordinance Change   In the most recent edition of the Lexington Chronicle it was reported that County Council is considering changes to a 10 year old plan designed to protect scenic corridors and trees in the county.  The council is considering some mapping changes to make the overall plan more inclusive.  County Planning director Charles Compton is quoted, "The new maps could include all areas of the county."  This should be a positive for Lexington SC Real Estate as the governmental agencies in the area keep up with the growth.  One other changed mentioned will have an impact on golf course communties like Golden Hills.  This proposed change could protect homeowners from development if golf course areas are abandoned inside the subdivi... 02/18/2009

Lexington SC Residents May Get More Smoke Free Restaurants-Lexington SC Real Estate Guide The town of Lexington has already passed and implemented an ordinance to ban smoking in businesses located within the town limits that began in late 2008.  In an article written in "The Lexington Chronicle" dated February 5, 2008 the Lexington town leaders have asked the Lexington County Council to pass a smoking ban for county restaurants and bars.  The county could pass the newly proposed ban as early as March, but obviously all of this is subject to votes, hearings, ect.  Mayor Randy Halfacre is quoted "We want people to know that not only will they get good food and merchandise in Lexington shops and restaurants, they will be breathing clean, fresh air."  This should be a positive move for Lexi... 02/10/2009

What a view! Just wanted to share this picture from last weekends warm spell here in Lexington South Carolina. The picture is of the marina at Pintail Point on Lake Murray.  Pintail Point is a new neighborhood with plenty of lake front lots available for sale.  The amenities include the 100-slip marina, lakeside pool, clubhouse, nature trails, private boat ramp, and tennis courts.  We have mild winters here in South Carolina and the boaters take advantage of it.  I saw a lot of boat trailers heading out to the lake today to enjoy the weather.  Interested in this neighborhood,  you can visit my home for sale at 240 Pintail Lake Drive.     02/09/2009

Lexington SC Market Report January 2009 Area 11 out of areas 10,11,12 and 23 of Lexington County. Lexington South Carolina Area 11 Is still thriving with very little job loss or business closure. We are a strong place to be at in today's economy. Because of the prestigious Lexington 1 School districts ranking in South Carolina we will remain stable with a small appreciation of Real Estate Values over the next few years. After thawing out from last weeks freezing weather,  today after church  I decided to take the family to nearby Gibson Pond Park in Lexington South Carolina.  So we brown bagged breakfast and headed out to the park for some good quality time outside.  Gibson Pond Park was recently reopened to the public in 2007. The park was formerly know as George's Pond until 1943 when Murray Gibson purchased it back in 1943.  The pond is fed by Twelve Mile Creek which cuts through a few neighborhoods in Lexington.  Before its closing in 1972, Gibson Pond was a community recreational area with a dance hall, picnic tables, swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boats, camping, and rental cabins.  It is small park in comparison to some others but centrally located in Lexington.  The park is a great place i... 02/08/2009

"The proposal would let anyone who buys a new or existing home within one year of the enactment of the economic stimulus bill get a credit on his or her tax return of $15,000 or 10 percent of the home’s purchase price, whichever is less. Lexington SC Residents New Dinner Cruise Boat on Lake Murray According to an article in the "Lake Murray News" (January 15, 2009) there is a new 80 foot long, two story yacht coming to Lake Murray. The boat will be called The Spirit of Lake Murray and is fully heated and air conditioned. According to the article the vessel will be used primarily for private charters, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, business groups, church groups, or any other group wanting this type of unique experience on the water.
