Lexington SC Real Estate Taxes in District One Remain Steady Lexington SC Real Estate Taxes are not going up (at least for the school portion) according to a recent article in the Lexington Chronicle. The Lexington 1 District proposed a budget for 2009-2010 that included cutting up to 39 jobs and using reserve funds to balance the new 171.5 million dollar plan. According to the article the district absorbed about 8 million in revenue cuts for the current budget. The budget must still have several readings before approval. Some are concerned about how this will effect class sizes and other school related activities that will likely be addressed at the public hearings.
