We have just returned fro a small vacation in Hilton Head. we played tennis most of the week. There were even 2 days I did not look at my PC ! ( I did leave my phone on). To me the beach in winter is a wonderful thing. Summer beaches are for families. Children play endlessly on the beach. Single men and single women walk up and down the beach displaying their stuff. In winter the beach is for couples. Couples walk together, hold hands, feel the wind on their bodies, and reflect. Here is what I mean There are very few people on the beach as well. Those who are there are usually walking in pairs too. So If you get a chance enjoy the beach in winter. It can be very therapeutic This is a lot diffrfent than the mountains photos I post !!!!

Agents: ‘Keller Williams Can’t Touch RE/MAX’ DENNIS BOTTCHER KATHLEEN COOPER By Deborah Ball Kearns, RE/MAX Times Online Associate Editor Kathleen Cooper was recruited to Keller Williams from her independent brokerage last year with guarantees of a new office, 100 percent commissions and the opportunity to be a coach within the system. After one year of false promises and little support, she joined RE/MAX in mid-October. Her impression so far? “I wish I had joined RE/MAX a year ago,” says the new Broker Associate with RE/MAX Professional Associates in Sturbridge, Mass. “When Keller Williams recruited me, they told me that RE/MAX was really ‘FEE/MAX,’ but that’s simply not true. I get more services, education and training for free at my new office than I ever did with Keller Williams.” C...

I have not been to Hilton Head for a while. But we are here for a much needed rest. Here are some observations. The place is wonderful and the people very nice. There has been an awful lot of building since the last time I was here. I cannot help but think a little less development would make the island even more attractive. However if you are looking for a nice spot to spend some time this is a great place.  This time of year you are not going swimming. But for golf and tennis as well as hiking you could not ask for better weather. So depending on what you like to do Hilton head is a fun place to be with a lot of choices

As you continue learning about Hilton Head real estate, Long Cove Club is another unique community to learn about.  Even though it is not advertised as a resort community, it has all of the amenities a resort community has in a private Island setting. Long Cove Club is located on the south end of the Island overlooking Broad Creek. Tucked away is the discrete marina that draws all manner of community residents. For the boater it is centrally located between Shelter Cove and Calibogue Sound and all of the activities they offer.  The marina is often one of the communities most enjoyed amenities.  Enjoy the thrill of crabbing off the dock or just relaxing and watching the incredible sunsets. In addition to the water, of course there is golf, tennis and the clubhouse activities. The private...

I used to ask new Hilton Head buyers how much they wanted to spend, but not anymore.  Instead, I now am going to ask every buyer how many?  How many days before they buy?  How many months or years will they wait?  How many memories are they willing to miss?  In fact, a decision cannot be made until a prospective Hilton Head Purchaser places a higher value on their time.  No matter how good a deal it is! How valuable is your time?   Read the rest of this entry

Hilton Head Island is such a diverse and great place to live. Searching for Hilton Head real estate can be fun while you are exploring the different varieties of lifestyles the Island communities have to offer. Palmetto Dunes real estate is no exception. In fact, when searching Hilton Head Foreclosures you may come across some Palmetto Dunes Foreclosures as well. Palmetto Dunes is known as a resort community. Most visitors and newcomers probably do not realize that it is a great neighborhood that is also community minded. Just one of the many ways Palmetto Dunes property owners are reaching out is a "Community Harvest Day for Deep Well" this coming Friday, November 12. Deep Well is a community organization that provides food, clothing, sometimes housing and money for local people that a...

As the President of the Hilton Head MLS, I often have the pleasure of meeting with some of the Island's most forward thinking business persons, responsible for making Hilton Head what it is today. At the October meeting of the Hilton Head MLS members, I had the pleasure of introducing Bill Wagner, Director of Sales for the Heritage Golf Tournament. The 2011 Tournament will be held April 18 - 24 and will carry a purse of $ 5.7 million. This will be the 43rd playing of this tournament since its beginning in 1969. The Heritage has always been vital to the economy of South Carolina and according to a recent Clemson University study; last year was responsible for bringing $ 81 million into the State. The overall expected crowd for the 2011 tournament is estimated to be 135,000. Verizon Busin...

STAGE IT RIGHT: McGuire's oceanfront listing gives buyers the full effect of living on the beach with a well-staged patio and pool area. WHAT A VIEW: The top selling feature of a waterfront listing is the view. McGuire suggests professional photography for capturing imagery that will attract buyers. McGUIRE By Deborah Ball Kearns, RE/MAX Times Online Associate Editor If you have clients who are looking to buy or sell a waterfront property, there's more to the process than meets the eye. Appraisals, termite inspections, lake levels, zoning restrictions, easements, coastal commissions – all are factors to consider when it comes to waterfront homes. And you have to know the ins and outs of this property type in order to help a buyer or seller in the process, says Lori McGuire. McGuire, a C...

Ever seen a Sailboat Race? Watched Pelicans in Flight? Been to the Heritage Golf Tournament?....... The place to start is Harbourtown in Sea Pines Plantation.  On Saturday, I was able to watch the 40th annual Calibogue Cup sailboat race, right from the pier in Harbourtown. The skies were Carolina Blue and the temperature was mid-seventies. Typical Hilton Head weather in October! On Sunday, we rode bicycles to the Sea Pines Beach Club, had a picnic and relaxed on the beach. After our beach time we visited the Salty Dog for refreshments and live music. If this sounds interesting to you, then visit my website, featuring quick search buttons for all Sea Pines Real Estate. If you would like to see the sailboat race in the Calibogue Sound, then Visit Here:
