Known as the Ainsley Hall House when work on this Classical Revival mansion began in 1823, what we now know as the Robert Mills House, named so after it's designer, has become one of the many opportunities to walk through the history of Columbia, SC. The Robert Mills House started it's life with the intention of becoming a townhome for Ainsley and Sarah Hall. The death of Ainsley Hall and other circumstances led the home to instead live many other lives. Once the campus of three different religious institutions including Columbia Bible College and a Presbyterian Theological Seminary which was quite renown in it's day.
