    Buttonwoods/Old Buttonwoods Neighborhood       Located in the West Bay area of Warwick is a neighborhood known as Old Buttonwoods.  Buttonwoods is the name of a type of tree found mainly on shorelines and is a clue to the mystery of  the place.  Originally founded as a summer colony in 1871 by a Rev. Warwick Mall & The Flood of 2010. The State of RI was dealt a big blow from mother nature this past month. Two weeks ago the state experienced some flooding and this week a second flood hit and this one was ugly. Below is an aerial shot of Warwick Mall located in Warwick RI. This has been an ongoing problem for me, whether it is listing or representing a buyer. When I list a property, I try to let people (and their Realtors) know what is needed. I do this so they will know that if they have a buyer who is either not able to get the correct mortgage, or does not want to do any heavy lifting, then this house is not for them. I have seen homes say "needs tlc" and upon arrival, found that it needed a total rehab. Why do Realtors do this? Why waste my time and yours? If I put "needs work" in my listing, I mean "needs work"!! I do not mean, needs paper and paint because to me, most people buying a new home will want to paint to their own tastes. There are many marinas located in Warwick Cove in Warwick Rhode Island, but Harbor Lights Marina, in my opinion is one of the best. Besides being located on a back street off Warwick Neck Avenue, Harbor Lights Marina has a clear view down Narragansett Bay. Sitting on the dock and watching the boats brings just as much enjoyment as having a boat in a slip. Harbor Lights Marina, boasts double fingers. (for those who do not know what double fingers are, its a dock on both sides of your boat) Most of the marinas in Warwick do not have double fingers. Having a dock on either side makes it so much easier for the Captain to get the boat in the dock with a minimum of fuss. There have been a few posts here in Active Rain regarding baskets for closing gifts. I thought I would upload one that I did for a client. My intention was to "make it personal".  I wanted something that the client would actually use and remember me when they used it. Of course each client is a little different so every basket has to be a little different. This particular couple liked wine and sitting in their backyard at night by the pool. On Sunday, December 23, I had a meal for dinner to die for at Remington House in Warwick, RI!For a starter, I had the traditional pizza which was topped with a blend of four cheeses, marinara, pesto, scallions, pepperoni and fresh herbs on a thin crispy crust.  The pizza was large enough to have as a main course!  I am a pizza lover.....and I loved it!For my main course, I had the chicken marscarpone, which is sautéed chicken, roasted red peppers, garlic, onion, tomatoes and fresh herbs tossed with penne in a mascarpone cream sauce.  This dish was excellent to say the least!  Since I started off with the pizza for starters, I would only eat half of my main course.....which is great because that means I get to enjoy this dish again!My partner had the bourbon chuck steak marinated in a sw... 12/23/2007
