Restful living the South County Swamp Yankee RI way may be foreign to 'outsiders' not aware of the Rhode Island formula of local expressions.  The South County Swamp Yankee is usually a descendant of local lore & genuine history and I can truthfully say that swampers are a pleasure to know.  Now 'South County RI' is a term used for the southern locales in this tiny RI state, i.e. Charlestown, South Kingstown, Narragansett, Exeter, etc. towns.  View Larger Map The individuals who are beholden to the swamp yankee terminology are dwindling out as they pass from this life but they leave a great storytelling legacy.  One of my favorite people was a 'swamper' named Bud Browning in South Kingstown.  I got to know him when I was going to college and he owned hundreds of acres south of Rte.1 in ... 04/28/2010

 Land has been in a stand still in South Kingston.  I'm encouraging my clients to invest here, it's a great place for tourism and housing.  I love to visit this area.  I've talked with some members of the chambers of commerce their and the area seems to be on the role to economic development.  There are also many employment opportunities as well.  Truly a great area.    02/06/2008

 I like to do business in the South Kingstown area because of the great property values.  I love when I refer people here and they come back pleased of what they find this city has to offer.  It has a great location with access to some beautiful beaches.  Even though it is the largest town in Washington county, it still has a nice small town feel.  01/30/2008
