As Rents rise Homeownship is harder to save for in the recent years. What if you bought a home that needs work and start learning skills? Painting is not the most exciting job but it looks damn pretty when it's done !  Yes you will hit the ceiling with the roller and make a mess. That can fixed! Get some painter tape (that blue stuff) and nice rollers and paint brushes. Don't be super cheap. A nice paint brush will make the job much easier. Wash it over and over so you can have it for years.  Paint can be expensive but good paint will last ! 1 gallon of paint will also go a long way.  Lowes and Home Depot have discount paint that wasn't mixed right.
