We live and work in Palmer Township and wanted to share a resources we find most of our neighbors in Palmer are not aware of.  Last year,  we did some work on our front walkway and put in new landscaping. Along the way, we became aware that the Palmer Township Recycling center on Berks offers Wood Mulch to residents. We filled two trailer fulls of mulch last year and it was all FREE!  Not only is it free, there is also a front end loader available on the first Saturday of each month to help with getting it into your vehicle/trailer. I have to tell you, we were very impressed with the quality of the mulch and it did not seem any different then what you will find at Home Depot.
