I got this recipe from Rachel Landis Of Landisdale farms here in Lebanon County, PA...It is a certified organic farm and although I'm not a CSA member I do manage to get by their farm on occassion...I added a little more onion to this and baked it 'til it bubbled a little but this is, without a doubt, one of the best things I've ever come across and it's EASY!...I don't think it's original but I'm giving credit to whomever came up with this...It's a definite keeper! Tomato Pie Recipe Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 55 minutes If you want to take this recipe up a notch, you can caramelize the onions while prepping the other ingredients. If you do that, double the amount of onion. INGREDIENTS 1 9-inch pie shell (see pie crust recipe for homemade version) 1/2 yellow or red onion, chopped ...

Hi everyone...I just wanted to 'comment' on a local tavern...We eat here often...The Gin Mill at 4th Avenue and Cumberland street is a great example of a 'locals place'...Great food, ambience, TV's, good staff...Try my favorite sandwich 'Nanny's Favorite', a BLT with a sliced hard boiled egg...It's just great...Do yourself a favor and have lunch or dinner here...You won't be disappointed.

From now until May of 2011 the Lebanon County Area Agency On Aging holds water exercise classes every Monday and Wednesday from 12-12:30PM at the Lebanon YMCA. The cost is $2.00 per class and you don't need to be a member of the YMCA. You DO need to be 60 or older. Call the agency @ 273-9262 for any additional information.

The Lebanon County Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold a 3 session course for youths 11-15 about babysitting, infant/child CPR, first aid and pet first aid on the following 3 dates; Friday, 12/10 from 6-10PM Saturday, 12/11 from 9AM to 2PM Saturday, 12/18 from 9AM to 2PM The classes will all be held at the Red Cross classroom at 1220 Mifflin St., Lebanon The cost of the course is $60.00 and attendance at all three courses is required. This coming Saturday, November 13th, Lebanon area Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will be hanging special bags on area homes doors across the county in preparation for their annual Scouting for Food Drive. They'll be back around to pick them up on Saturday November 20th. They are asking local residents to fill them with non-perishable and canned food items which benefit our 2 local food banks. Lebanon County Christian Ministries receives all the food collected in the county EXCEPT for the Palmyra area where it goes to The Caring Cupboard. In 2009 the collected total was about 60,000 pounds. Please give what you can to help the less fortunate of your neighbors.
