Real or Personal Property . . .  Does It Belong to Me or You?  Erie/PA     Real or Personal Property...Does It Belong to Me or You? Erie/PA  The basketball hoop attached to garage was gift from my son's grandfather who is now deceased.  Can we take with us when we move? My wife's grandmother gave us her mother's prize rose bushes as a wedding present 15 years ago.  Can we dig them up before the closing?   The window treatments in master bedroom match our bedding and we plan to use them in our new home.   Who owns the attached shelving units that I paid for and installed?  Well, it depends . . . If you are tenant, the landlord owns the shelving units once they have been installed If you are business tenant who rented space for your business, the shelving units belong to you.  The shelv...

Tickle My Fancy with Spring Beauty Tickle My Fancy with Spring Beauty One lone tulip is all I need to tickle my fancy after long, long, never ending winter and elusive spring.  Enjoy the beauty of my one and only tulip.  Finally the weather has improved in the northeast and I am dutifully watching for the Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds to arrive at my feeders. Just a few minutes ago I saw the female turkey for third day in a row.    Tickle My Fancy with Spring Beauty

Meet a Few Fair Weather Friends Meet a Few Fair Weather Friends Unfortunately these are a few of my 'fair weather' friends. (Turtle, frogs, dragonfly and butterfly)  They only come to visit and decorate my gardens during the warmer months.  You could say that's rather 'cold-blooded' and yes, you would be accurate.  No matter what they are in the animal kingdom I am glad to see them again.     Happy Spring! Forget spring I am waiting for summer. UPDATE 4-21-13  Morning temperature: 28 and sunny, no wind.  Afternoon temp: 39 and still sunny  ~  that's progress.

Egg-Drop Tragedy Tragedy at base of massive oak tree amongst the beauty of spring daffodils ended the life of a baby robin even before it began.  Between the rain, snow and wind I ventured out to see how my daffodils were surviving a late winter storm only to discover a robin's egg that had fallen out of the nest above. Egg-Drop Tragedy   Of course I had to run inside to grab my camera.  Now I wonder what caused the egg to fall out of the nest.  Any ideas?

The Hunt Is on:  I Hear Him, but I Can't Find Him For several days I have heard the loud flicker-like cuk, cuk, cuk, cuk, rising & falling in volume and pitch in the woods near my house.  Camera and binoculars in hand but I can't find the PILEATED WOODPECKER.  My trusted bird books tell me that the Pileated Woodpecker is rather shy and not easily spotted, but I am determined.  I know where he has been as he drills large rectangular holes instead of round holes like the smaller woodpeckers. So I had to resort to iClipArt for this image.   The Hunt Is on: I Hear Him, but I Can't Find Him    If you are looking for a Real Estate class in Erie, PA look no farther.  Alan Kells has pre-license classes scheduled in Erie, PA.  Online classes, too.

Wander Dust vs Home Sweet Home As many of you know I love to travel, but I will always say, 'Home Sweet Home.'     Nothing beats seeing 'Pennsylvania Welcomes You' even if the weather is cold & rainy.  Yes, it was 85 degrees yesterday in South Carolina and 45 degrees when we arrived at the PA border and down to 42 by the time we drove up to Lake Erie.  Brr!   Time to lite a fire in fireplace. Enjoy! Posts about trip to TJ's graduation from Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, South Carolina: TJ's Graduation from Marine Boot Camp Tickle Me ~ Spring (West Virginia) Who Makes Marines? Friday Humor: Used House CHEEEP! Wonder who owns this beautiful, warm, dry domicle.  Obviously last year's occupants have abandoned the property.  Maybe 'adverse possesion' time frame applies at this rest stop along highway.  (While sitting at picnic table somewhere in NC the kids spotted the nest above us.) Any guesses who the lawful owner might be?   Do you think they will be back this year? Friday Humor: Used House CHEEP!   (Posted with iPad. So much easier to control format with my laptop.)

Are You Ready for Spring?     Are you really, really ready for spring? Spring has been somewhat elusive in most of the country.   Here is sight to raise your spirits.  Yes, spring is coming to your area and mine.  However, I found these in North Carolina not Erie, PA.   (Here is another attempt to learn how to post with iPad.)   Are You Ready for Spring?

'We Make Marines' Congrats TJ White   Congratulations TJ White, PFC US Marine Corps.  We are so proud of you & can't wait to see you tomorrow for Family Day.  Driving 800+ miles to Parris Island, SC with your brothers,  Hunter, 11, and Jacob, 6, was quite a trip. Can't remember how many times Jacob asked, "Are we there yet?" 'We Make Marines' Congrats TJ White   (I wrote this post using iPad and I am not happy with the format.  Any suggestions?)

Is the Weatherman Just Teasing US?     One warm day, two cold days.  One sunny day, two or three cloudy days.  And today it is sunny but COLD.  What's with the weatherman's forecast this year?  However, I found several crocuses that snuck up over night.                                                                   Enjoy.           Erie/PA 2012-2013 snowfall = 104.6 inches         Is the Weatherman Just Teasing US?

Does Your Business Plan Include Social Media?   Don't tell me you think Social Media is a BIG waste of time.  Social Media is just silly pictures, dumb jokes and people posting their boring, daily habits i.e. 'I'm tired. I am going to bed now.' . . . 'Another terrible day at work.'                                                                   Or maybe you feel Social Media is just another crazy fad.  'This too shall pass.' Now let's get to what you really feel about Social Media . . . Let's be honest .  . .                                 Are YOU more than just a little un-sure of technology?                                                                               . . .  Are you shy?  . . . . Maybe even a little anti-SOCIAL?  Okay, now that we are getting down to the nitty-gitt...

Out on a Limb    I am speechless just watching Skywalker Tree Service cut down two trees in front of my house.  All day I have heard the noise of saws and chipper instead of the birds visiting the feeders outside my kitchen window.  Periodically I venture outside to check on the progress then hurry back in to play in the Rain (ActiveRain).   That is one big tree.
