With Mortgage Rates Climbing, Now’s the Time To Act Last week, the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate from Freddie Mac jumped from 3.22% to 3.45%. That’s the highest point it’s been in almost two years. If you’re thinking about buying a home, this news may have come as a bit of a shock. But the truth is, it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Experts have been calling for rates to rise in their 2022 projections, and the forecast is now becoming a reality. Here’s a look at the projections from Freddie Mac for this year: Q1 2022: 3.4% Q2 2022: 3.5% Q3 2022: 3.6% Q4 2022: 3.7% As the numbers show, this jump in rates is in line with the expectations from Freddie Mac. And what they also indicate is that mortgage rates are projected to continue climbing throughout the year. But should you be worrie...

This week I heard some interesting facts in the news. So I am letting you know so we can say we were forewarned . We need to be ready for prices to go up on laundry detergent. Then after that more cleaning items .Proctor & Gamble  will be making the  jump in their items. They are the largest company so we will notice them first. It will happen soon and suddenly . I am really running low so by the time I make it to the store I hope the price will not give me sticker shock . For example, The Brand All liquid detergent scented or unscented 88oz size sale price is $7. 99  BIg Box Liquid size 145 oz size is on sale for $11.99   It is not a Proctor & Gamble product but let's see anyway. We will keep out eyes on it .Valentines Day is around the corner. It is almost the end of January . Februar...

Some of the findings revealed in their report: The average American family has a net worth of $77,300 Of that net worth, 61.4% ($47,500) of it is in home equity A homeowner’s net worth is over thirty times greater than that of a renter The average homeowner has a net worth of $174,500 while the average net worth of a renter is $5,100 Bottom Line The Fed study found that homeownership is still a great way for a family to build wealth in America. FSBOs Must Be Ready to Negotiate Some sellers might be tempted to try and sell their home on their own (FSBO) without using the services of a real estate professional. The real estate agent is a trained and experienced negotiator. In most cases, the seller is not. The seller must realize the ability to negotiate will determine whether they get the best deal for themselves and their family. Here is a list of some of the people with whom the seller must be prepared to negotiate if they decide to FSBO: The buyer who wants the best deal possible The buyer’s agent who solely represents the best interest of the buyer The buyer’s attorney (in some parts of the country) The home inspection companies which work for the buyer and will almost always find some problems with the house. What’s Going To Happen with Home Prices This Year? After almost two years of double-digit increases, many experts thought home price appreciation would decelerate or happen at a slower pace in the last quarter of 2021. However, the latest Home Price Insights Report from CoreLogic indicates while prices may have plateaued, appreciation has definitely not slowed. The following graph shows year-over-year appreciation throughout 2021. December data has not yet been released. As the graph shows, appreciation has remained steady at around 18% over the last five months. In addition, the latest S&P Case-Shiller Price Index and the FHFA Price Index show a slight deceleration from the same time last year – it's just not at the level that was expected. However, they also both indicate there’s con...

Sorry I am late, but I have been making a Ravioli and pasta soup. Recipe coming tomorrow. The other day I was at the Super market as a storm was predicted and cold weather so I decided to stock up. There were two women screaming at each other in the parking lot . I don't know why . One was in a car the other standing there . A young man was leaning against the wall I asked him but no response. They were really screaming, no letting up. It was quite unnerving . When I walked in I told a security guard and they quickly outside.I was aghast at the prices of fresh spinach $7 for the size I needed. Banana's (banana bread) however, were reasonable and found over ripe ones for $.49 a pound. To be honest prices were very high for most items there were some sales and many items on sale were not ...
