Kenton is definitely evolving and ready to show the greater Portland area that it has a special uniqueness to it.  Neighborhood locals are friendly, approachable and have a deep sense of community.  Located in North Portland and bordered by Arbor Lodge, St. Johns, and Piedmont neighborhoods, Kenton is in close proximity to the Max light rail which is located on nearby Interstate Avenue, giving residents easy access to the rest of the city. Having said that, a drive to downtown Portland is only a mere 7-8 minutes away in good traffic conditions, and a bike ride is about 25 minutes away, and in mostly designated bike lanes. North Portland: the seedy part of Portland by reputation.  Now I'm not saying that any part of Portland was ever ‘scary' by big city standards...
